That's a beautiful BBW mermaid. I like that she is based on a sirenian/sea cow.

I have a strange urge to stand on a diving board and throw buckets of fish to her o.o

Sea Pirate on a "See-Food"-Diet it looks like! LOL
Rei, I love your drawings. I canΒ΄t comment them all as you have uploaded so many at present though... but that doesnΒ΄t mean I dont like them, ok?
Best wishes,

Thanks! It comes from an Inuit goddess of the sea, who was very badass and took the form of a seal, if I remember correctly.

I recognize the name, I just didn't think that Sedna took the form of a seal.

Yay! Sealmaid! I like seeing seals used in fantasy. I really just like seals. So sweet looking, and they can be so mean.

I do! That was probably part of what inspired this. Thanks again for pointing me in its direction.

I haven't read anything else of his, so I can't really say if its his best or not. I just know I liked it.

Some of it's OK, goes overboard on the immobility bit.

Exactly. I embrace the idea of health at any size, but total immobility does not seem healthy by any measure.

Nor can you go for a walk on the beach together.

Very true. Or do many other romantic things.

She looks so badass and sexy, and I totally love that she's part seal! The grey skin makes her seem more otherworldly, and I love that she's an action chick who's actually allowed to get battle scars.

Hehe, thanks! Scars are awesome and fun to draw, so I couldn't not give her any.

That pirate's got a nice layer of insulating blubber on her, and a few hardy battle-scars. ^_^
Arrr, this be a fine peice o' art. >_O
