(Yes, Leon did get a hair cut! First, I wanted to upload him with short hair (as in completely short) but then I figured nobody would recognize him.)

This is the blendered illustration of a due 2 minute script... read below if you're interested. Won't take more than 2 minutes of your time, I promise.

I wanted to upload it in the standard script formatting. Alas, deviantart insists on forcing through its own standards. But hey, I tried! (That's to explain the huge amount of dots. )

The following abbreviations might be clear to you but I'm explaining them anyway just to be on the safe side:
- (OFF) = off screen. You can hear a voice but don't get to see where it's coming from. Spooky, eh?
- (VO) = Voice-over. The character appears in the frame but doesn't open his mouth. So either he is a ventriloquist or he's just expressing his thoughts.

NIGHT – INT. SHABBY BATHROOM OF A MOTEL

CHRIS REDFIELD stares at himself in the mirror. His senses of hearing and balance are playing crazy. The racing of his pulse, the loud humming of a fly and the hammering of single drops hitting the tub blur his perception. He opens the screeching sink tap, splashes water over his face and lets it trickle down as he continues staring at his eyes in the mirror.

.......................CHRIS
..........Pull yourself together, man.

The voice of LEON KENNEDY is heard from the adjacent room.

.......................LEON (off)
..........Claire, it’s me. How are you doing?

.......................CHRIS (VO)
..........She keeps saying he changed for her. Nonsense. People don’t change for people. They change only for themselves. Addictions make us feel temporarily good, no matter how bad they may be for us. Smokes. Alcohol. Women. A dandy and a chaser like him never changes. I was furious when they assigned us both to do this job, but working with him turned out easier than I expected. Guess he isn’t a federal operative for nothing, after all. We don’t talk much. Most important, we don’t talk about her. It keeps things easier, and me from getting personal. He doesn’t deserve her.

The light bulb flickers, bringing back memories and sounds of automatic gunfire. He clings to the rim of the sink, waiting for the flashbacks and the sudden headache to end. The flickering stabilizes. Chris reaches for a medkit in a drawer, assembles a syringe, half-fills it with diazepam, sloppily disinfects his arm and prepares to insert the needle. Leon rushes in, his cell phone pressed to his ear.

.......................LEON
..........Chris, someone has great news for y-

.......................CHRIS
..........What happened to knocking?

.......................LEON (into phone)
..........He’ll call you back. No, everything’s all right.

Leon hangs up. They look at each other through the mirror.

.......................CHRIS
..........Your look of concern has been noted, Kennedy. You may now retreat and report this disgrace to HQ.

Leon comes closer and picks up the bottle to read its label. His initial shock is replaced by stoic calmness.

.......................LEON
..........How long have you been on this? You can’t do that longer than four weeks. And from what I see you’re about to overdose.

.......................CHRIS
..........I don’t need a nurse, thanks.

.......................LEON
..........You know, that’s what I thought, too. After Spain.

Leon rolls up his sleeve to reveal a mess of badly healed needle marks and stitches.

.......................LEON
..........It doesn’t stop here.

He rolls his sleeve back down.

.......................CHRIS
..........I never would have pegged you for...

.......................LEON
..........For what? I’m a survivor just as much as you. Though you’re clearly more skilled with the syringe than me.

.......................CHRIS (chuckles a little)
..........Flattery will get you nowhere. What made you quit? Another one of your addictions?

.......................LEON
..........Let’s say... a rather belated realization.

Leon turns to leave, smiling quizzically.

.......................LEON
..........You should make that phone call.

.......................CHRIS (VO)
..........We don’t talk about my sister. Even if we do.
