Thank you for the comment!
Sadly, I'm not accepting commissions at the moment for something like this. It's a bit too detailed to do quickly

OK well i really want to do this so can you point me in the right direction? Suggestions, patterns, whatever... I really love how you did it.

Give yourself plenty of time to make it. I made my own pattern for it, so it took a while, with a lot of trial and error before I got a definite design for it.

I figured ^_^ What kinds of fabric did you use? I'm lookin at getting the money rounded up to purchase it here soon and wondered if you came across any idiosyncrasies with any particular fabrics that may present challenges... Also I was thinking of working off of a base costume that I may buy to add on to if you know what i mean

The black fabric was a type of quilting cloth--I believe it was called Symphony, but I'm not certain. The shiny white inside was a charmuese, which was a pain in the ass, because it was slippery and caused a lot of static when wearing it. The red sash and lining of the cape I don't remember exactly, but it was a satiny fabric that was also a pain. It was slippery and didn't wear well, and in retrospect I would pick something else despite how awesome it looked. The cape and boot covers were upholstery suede. It's not bad, but it is expensive and at the ankles of the boot covers it showed the wear.

That should about cover fabrics. Really it was a lot of trial and error, sometimes leaning more on the side of error.

I know what you mean about the base costume, but it would be very difficult to find one like that. There are some places where you can buy an Ezio costume and then modify it, but it's rather difficult to do so, and to buy the initial costume is about as expensive as making it anyway.

Coolness. And Yeah turns out that the cheapest one was around $160! yikes...

But again thanks for the insight^_^ Its good to hear someone else's experiences and errors and learn from them!

Arrivederci amico mio!

This is an amazingly put together cosplay!
I /really/ want to cosplay Ezio, handmaking it as well, but I seriously wonder if I'd have the patience!
How long did this take to put together? If you don't mind my asking.
: )

After everything was finished and put together? About a year, but I was working on it on and off, between my job and other projects

I'm sorry if I've already asked this, but would you commission a costume like this?

rabid-llama In reply to Alva-Wolfsong-Eirwen [2010-09-26 20:19:35 +0000 UTC]

Yes, though I won't do some of the pieces for commission yet. What all were you looking to get?

Right now, I am willing to make everything except the armor pieces and the hidden blades. I will be more than willing to make all of the clothing, though

Are you still taking commissions for the Black outfit? if so, contact me. I'd be interested to pay you for the complete outfit.

Yes, I am still taking commissions. Send me a note with the price you're looking to pay, and when you need it by, and we'll get down to business. ^_^

Sorry for such a long delay in the response. I hope you're doing well, and that you're still in the cosplay commissions arena. Your work on the outfit is stunning and very accurate. I'd hate to give you a price id be looking to spend, id like to hear from you how much cost of materials and time and give me a ball park for the master assassin outfit you have going. I can provide measurements and what ever you need to get going. I dont have a deadline for the costume, but i'd would love to have one done by you. You're quality looks great.

let me know how much you figure on everything costing to make the outfit complete and we can go from there.
Thanks a bunch

Unfortunately, I am unable to take full outfit commissions at the moment. Bits and pieces, maybe, but not the whole thing. My jobs are taking all of my free time away.

That was why the other one you commented on (Ezio Costume WIP 11 ) was called a "WIP". A "Work In Progress". Please don't comment and say something needs to be completed before you consider it 'good', if it is just a picture of a work in progress.
