A great idea to make a video tut :] I didn't know about that tool... good job :]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

r4v1 In reply to maddama [2006-10-01 08:36:13 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. The tool is only in CS2

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

maddama In reply to r4v1 [2006-10-01 08:43:56 +0000 UTC]

I have CS.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

r4v1 In reply to maddama [2006-10-01 11:36:24 +0000 UTC]

Then you can only use the healing brush tool which takes a bit longer to do the job but does it all the same..

maddama In reply to r4v1 [2006-10-01 15:49:40 +0000 UTC]

Usually the lame old clone tool suffices for me I don't do much photomanipss anymore. Maybe when I get CS2 I'll be inspired :]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

r4v1 In reply to maddama [2006-10-01 15:52:14 +0000 UTC]

There isnt a big difference between cs and cs2.

Great tutorial! I've been meaning to use this feature, but never really learned how. Very useful. I like how it's clear and straight-forward, it really makes it easy to understand. The only thing I might change is the location of the green box, it blocks what you're doing at one point. Great job!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

r4v1 In reply to Mixedpie [2006-09-30 22:02:08 +0000 UTC]

Which part does it block at around what step? I'll see what I can do.

Thanks - I hope the tut helped

Mixedpie In reply to r4v1 [2006-10-01 01:21:23 +0000 UTC]

The very last part, when you take out the building/roof. You can't tell how your selecting the tool.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

r4v1 In reply to Mixedpie [2006-10-01 08:31:16 +0000 UTC]

Oh. That was my mistake. During filming the tut I accidently pressed a key which switched the current tool with its previous one so I just went back to get the right tool again. Thanks for pointing that out. I better put that on my authors notes so people know what it os

Great tutorial! Didn't even know that tool existed. I have CS1, but I guess you can just use the Healing Tool instead of the Spot Healing Tool? I can't imagine it would make too much difference.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

r4v1 In reply to Sazlik [2006-09-30 10:15:38 +0000 UTC]

quite right. There isnt much difference between cs1/2 so this should work even though the spot healing brush isnt there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sazlik In reply to r4v1 [2006-09-30 10:20:09 +0000 UTC]

Ah, okay...I thought as much.

I'll definitely be using this! It could obviously save a lot of time mucking about with the clone tool.

but its a damn big file

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

r4v1 In reply to Ravmaster [2006-09-30 09:36:43 +0000 UTC]

I know... its because I was trying out all the effects with the gradient wipe, pixel transition and I had fade-in/out arrows and stuff. But it doesnt take long to load does it? With my flash player and ff cache cleared it takes like 5 seconds to load (on my 7.6 mbs connxion ).
