It's been a while since we had a behind the scenes comic for Heart Burn!! Plus with all the drama happening in the comic it's good to get some silliness in here
So yeah, most of you know PrincessPuru and her character Jakob, who is constantly after Scarlette. She drew this after we had a fun conversation discussing how Jakob probably has access to the "set" now that Taylor's part of the team... And then it was decided it needed to be one of our random in-between comics.Also, I was hoping to give Heart Burn a digital makeover starting Chapter 10, and I took this strip as a way to experiment and practice... I think about 3 people told me "Arielle, if you hate inking your art, then don't do it, the sketches look fine as they are." But I did it anyway, and I regret it. This took WAY too long and I never wanna do it again. Drawing it however, didn't. That was super fast compared to drawing traditionally. And Heart Burn pages up until now have been un-inked, clean sketches, soooo... I may just go with that approach. We'll see. We're trying to "up" the quality of the comic here.
But yeah, that's why it's not colored. I was messing with lines, Taylor was busy, and I was too burnt out from inking to even bother with flats. Plus I wanted to get something up for you guys! No worries, I'll have this all sorted out in a few days and I'll do my best to get Chapter 10 started up next week. Thanks for your patience!
