[OPEN] - annual lantern festival -KEHT LANTERN FESTIVAL
each year the Neverlings of Keht gather at the same time to raise awareness of the importance of lanterns in their community and world, as well as craft, admire, and celebrate them and each other! they take a moment to remember those who have passed, and pay tributes and respect to the souls who still wander. this is such a special time for families and friends to get together! they don't always mourn the loss of their departed, but more so celebrate the life they shared with them!
a lot of festivities show up in the streets of Keht's capital city for the duration of the month. countless vendors of artisan crafts, goods, foods, lantern markets and trade as well as workshops and informational tours! almost everyone takes part in the feasts, dancing, music and crafting! the souls of Never are so grateful that you have chosen to help them find sanctuary and peace within Keht.

- Draw To Adopt -
DEADLINE - Nov 30 - Countdown

Artwork rules
- full body (at least 2 limbs, a head, and a torso)
- fully rendered and shaded
- backgrounds are optional!
- artwork must be your own and original, nothing can be re-used. premade brushes/textures must be by the artist ONLY or not include big repetitive elements
(trees, rocks, buildings etc), copy pasted elements of work will be denied
- each artwork must be made from scratch, bases/YCH will not be accepted
- all artwork must be uploaded to deviantart (not stash) and submitted to in-to-never 's artwork folder!
- never staff/designers MAY enter but in doing so are exempt from judging.
- mixed media allowed! you may enter with traditional, digital, or pixel artworks. (no craft or photography!)

- only one entry per person!
- if you wish to include other neverlings in your entry they must be owned by you, or have 'gift artwork - allowed' on their masterlist.

- if you would like to enter both DTAs, please make sure to draw them as seperate entries rather than together. This is to make the job of the judges smoother.
- you can make slight alternations to the design, but it must still be recognisable.

Prompt theme
"Lantern Festival"

It's that time of the year where Keht has their annual lantern festival! We are joined by many new guests and community, I'm sure your Neverling is happy to welcome them! How does the Neverling of this DTA enjoy the festivities in your perspective? Do they get a lantern of their own? Interact with the NPCs? Or party until the month is up?'

Judging

Judging will be by the never staff and 2-5 community members (who have not entered)!
They will present their favourite with reason and a discussion or vote will reveal the winner!

Pass-down option
For those entering this DTA just for profit may elect to receive a guumi MYO if their entry is chosen as the winner!
This can then be sold guilt free and the DTA neverling is passed down to the runner-up of the competition.
This only happens ONCE per DTA, so the runner up cannot pass-down again.
We wish to offer a platform that encourages the opportunities to make money from art.
The deadline for this is within 24 hours of the winner being announced.

Runner-up prize
If the pass down option is not taken up on, and the winner chooses to keep the DTA design,
the next runner-up will receive the MYO that would have gone to the winner should they have chosen the pass down!
Regardless 2 people are walking away with something!

Community spirit

I know it is very saddening to lose, and feel like a waste of time, which is not initially what we want to do with the group,

thus DTA are not made in to a regular group activity. so please only enter knowing that losing is quite a real possibility.

This should be seen more as a competition and it's important to have good sportsmanship and not bully or harass any winners,
or these will cease to exist entirely if the community becomes toxic and jealous over them.
Remember, by doing this you only make the winner feel bad about something that should be a happy thing for them, and it doesn't change the result.
I know you guys are so nice and supportive! But just in case xD

Neverling artworks are redeemable for orbs!
To clarify; only the artwork you make is redeemable for an orb, you do not get an extra orb for entering!
