About the Siregore

The Siregore is a very rare species living in the deep caves of Arileses. They make one cave there home for the rest of their lives. The cave shall have different halls and have at least one hole down to the water beneath the caves.
The Siregore eats only one thing, a very special mermaid who has the ability to over the surface as well as under water. This mermaid species lives out in the open sea except when it’s mating season, then they gathering under the very caves that is the home for their hunters. The technique of the Siregore is to quiet wait over the whole, and when a mermaid passing close enough to the surface he grabs it with his longest arms. When he has got a hold on the mermaid with his both arms the chance of the prey to escape is very little.
The first step for the hunter is to carry the prey as far away from the water as possible. The next part is to make it still, because mermaids are very hard to deal with when the struggle. The siregore has only two teeth. In them there is a certain poison. He therefor bites the victim very careful (to not hurt it) so that the poison can pass in to the body. It makes the mermaid calm and easier to handle. After that the siregore chooses a place for the mermaid to rest. When he has decided he takes his prey in his six other legs (while his standing on the two longest) and starting to role her around and round while his spinning the web around her.
The Siregore is a very special species because his care for his prey. He talks to them as he working, and sometimes makes them talk back. I’ve even heard that he one time was talking friendly to one of his prays as he was spinning the web around her. She was terrifying and scared of lose her sight. Therefor he let her eyes be free from the net so that she would be able to see.
The net is very special. The siregore is like a snake, they eat their prey whole. The siregore even eats them alive. That’s what the web is preparing for. It has the ability to make the body smooth for the siregore to eat. It’s making the bones soft and the muscles unable for the prey to use. In other words the mermaid becomes lame.
When the mermaid is all cocooned the siregore hang it up in a web close to the roof of the cave. There it will hang for the nearest months. A mermaid is known to be a very strong animal who can survive months at the time without food. That is what the sigore takes advantage of.
Then the season of mating is over for the mermaids the cave of the Sigore is often full of bodies, hanging in nets from the roof, waiting for their days to end.
