I knew you did marine biology, but I didn't know sharks were your forte! *Drool* We have a Leopard Shark and two Smooth-hounds at work. They are incredible!

Triakis semifasciata and... aaaaaaand... dammit... Mustelus mustelus or ? Plain smooth or starry smooth?
Strictly my specialism is deep oceanic benthic scavengers like Coryphaenoides armatus and Barathrites iris (which I'm the only person ever to accoustically track), but sharks are my love. I'm a member of the Shark Trust and was made an honorary lifetime member of the Shark Conservation Society for drawing their calendar and Christmas cards for two years in a row and illustrating parts of a shark ID guide and DVD.👍: 0 ⏩: 1

The grey smooth-hound, methinks (M. californicus).
And we come full-circle to 'every else's job sounds SO COOL!'. The researcher in me says '!!! Holy awesome on the tracking, Batman!' and the artist in me drools at the thought of drawing ID guides. So awesome!

Gran... You're making me miss research! They have a page for their published papers, is your research among them?

Many thanks! I originally had the crop much tighter, but was told that I wasn't allowed to crop out any of his fins ^^
