I Love Yoda ... Wendy Froud Brought Yoda To Life ... & Real Marzipan Is Beautiful It's Made With Ground Almonds & Sugar Syrup, Not Almond Essence Which Is Bitter... The Commercial Almond Paste Or Marzipan Is Just Fondant With Flavouring ... It's Actually Used To Seal The Fruit Cake So It Doesn't Stain The White Fondant Or To Give A Smooth Base For Royal Icing ... Or Making Cute Little Figures ...

I JUST started with marzipan, and i love how it retains the color, but most people are like "aaah too sweet!", but I heard it tastes better than regular fondant. And what exactly is royal icing, I see it all the time, but I just assumed its uber-thick frosting?
And I dont think I realized that Wendy Froud did Yoda, and Ive seen a million "making of" Star Wars featurettes too. How old would that make her, if she had a baby when Labyrinth came out, right?

... Royal Icing Is The Old Style Icing They Used Before Someone Came Up With Soft Fondant. It Had To Be Put On In Layers & Set Rock Hard, So Looked Good But Was A Pain To Eat ... It's Still Used To Pipe Details & Patterns Over Fondant Though ... It's Just Egg White & Pure Icing Sugar Beaten Untill Creamy...
I'm Not Even Sure How Old Wendy Is But I Just Found This ...
Did Wendy Froud create Yoda?
Wendy is credited on"The Empire Strikes Back" as being "Yoda Fabricator." She did a major part of the developing, sculpting and puppet building. She was a key member of the team that worked under Stewart Freeborn, the head of the makeup department, who was ultimately responsible for bringing Yoda to the screen. The team all worked under the direction of and approval of George Lucas, Gary Kurtz, Jim Henson and Frank Oz.
See, World Of Froud ...
