Unfortunately, I haven't watched Howl's Moving Castle. Spirited Away ties with Kiki's Delivery Service for me so far in the Miyazaki works I have watched. Though my favorite Ghibli is not actually directed by Miyazaki but by Takahata: Grave of the Fireflies. Watch it but uhhh I warn you...

Mostly because when I was in middle school there was this girl who was obsessed with that movie~ Β
She would always be the first to get the movie and play it in after day care~ Β

For me, Kiki's story is simple but it works in a charming way. :') Haha I wonder if that girl still likes Kiki.
Grave of the Fireflies... Let me put it this way. If you're into it, it's gonna break your heart forever. It's the only Ghibli that made me cry!!! Don't google it lest you spoil the story.Β
I reread Spirited Away's story two nights ago and my I fully understand it the second time haha. I think one has to watch it at least two times.
