I loved this scene. I think you really captured just how brutal her injuries must have been, so great job on that. I think that what a lot of people fail to realize is that even though Vriska made some bad choices and was manipulated into hurting her friends (not to mention the fact that troll society just fucked her over big time with the whole super impulsive killer instincts thing from feeding that spider), she took one of the worst beatings out of any of the trolls. She didn't just lose her sight, but her eye. It was exploded off. Her entire arm was mangled and severed. That is just disgusting and horrifying. But of course then she was also beaten to death and slowly and painfully bled out.
Anyways, I just love this piece and good job!

Thank you!
I agree with you! I believe that Vriska might have been a huge bitch, and she is pretty mean to the others. But she was easy to manipulate, which both Doc Scratch and Terezi have showed us. Vriska is (like many of the other trolls) a loving and caring person, but her desperation of being respected goes too far. This is, what I think, something that the troll society created, since violence and rage is what makes you be accepted. Like you said, it fucked her over big time! Vriska have been forced to stand a lot of pain, both mentally and physic.
Wow, that was a lot of text. It is possible you don't agree with me, but I just wanted to share my thought on the matter, since I think it is interesting to hear yours!

Oh, I completely agree. I have actually written out gigantic rants about pretty much what you just said OTL
I do think it's pretty cool that you acknowledged how Vriska was herself manipulated on multiple occasions, even into crippling Tavros in the first place. It is pretty difficult to prove the omniscient wrong, after all. I'm fairly certain that Doc Scratch had originally wanted Vriska to kill Tavros (or it was at least heavily implied), but she crippled him instead. Either this was unintentional or an act of mercy, albeit twisted and cruel. She went against her own culture multiple times to follow morals that weren't supposed to exist, such as "helping" lowbloods and having restrictions on hurting her friends. Especially considering how she was brought up and the fact that she knew who she had to become/ accepted her role in society as a highblood, it is truly amazing that deep down she was sorry and cared so much about her friends, who were total assholes to her and even brutally injured her.
Whoa, I accidentally wall of text |D

Ok, I go on with more text wall! X)
I thought about this with Scratch's intention with this whole Tavros incident, and I believe it was something like this: He told Vriska to kill Tavros, but he knew she would not success. He wanted to cripple Tavros, because it was necessarily to make him to the person that he became in the future, and the person that wrote the t1ck code on the walls. The code that brought Lord English to the universe, and since he is ALREADY THERE Doc could tell that Tavros was not going to die, or Lord English wouldn't have one of the codes he have now! But it was important to convince Vriska that she was meant to kill Tavros, simply because that was what she thought... it is like complicated time shenanigans, it happens because it effects the future that effects the past.... But back to Vriska! I can just agree with you, it is truly amazing that she showed those soft sides of herself at all! My opinion is that all the trolls we know have those sides, but Vriska is one of the few that realized her feelings before she died!
I'm sorry i just bomb you with my strange theories, but I don't know many people that read Homestuck in real life, so I guess I take my chance to discuss the matter with someone that seems to be as interested as me X)
And once again, if you don't agree, that's totally 0k with me 0u0, I just enjoy to hear different opinions on the subject

I agree and apologize for CASUAL DISAPPEARANCE.
I would just like to say... YES I AGREE YOU WIN EVERYTHING TAKE ALL OF THE BOONBUCKS ALL OF THEM.
And thus I post this massive wall of text that I may have copy pasted from an IM chat I had with a friend as we discussed Vriska, as all Vriska fans are prone to do.
What sort of bothers me is that people consider Tav's death a murder.
It kind of wasn't.
He and Vriska had arranged something of a battle previously, a duel, if you will.
A duel he had no chance of winning.
He sought her, she did not hunt him.
She didn't wait in the shadows to strike him out of the blue.
Tavros wanted to kill her because she "created Bec Noir". Vriska even told him he was wrong, but Tavros had simplified her actions down to the most black and white interpretation possible.
He fought her and lost.
You can't expect her to just curl up and cry and wait to be stabbed.
Granted killing him was the cruelest option, and a bit unnecessary.
However, if she let him go, Tavros could have informed the others of Vriska's "fULL EVILNESS", thus making her end inevitable.
Terezi would have brought her to justice without a second thought, and nobody would care. Ya know. Like it actually happened. Only earlier.
But in actuality, Vriska simply pieced together an inevitable puzzle. As she said, Jack was already there and there was nothing to be done about it. Karkat created the cancer and it would have existed to exterminate the two session regardless.
All Vriska did was steal the credit.
She did not intend for Jack to follow her trail back to the Veil, and was nothing if not doubtful.
She could have won that fight, but in vain.
What use is a hero when there is nobody left to save?
Though the kids would have been safe. But Jack was still in their session, too. So..
Even the things that had happened before in Flarp would not have warranted a Just Death.
You see, people tend to justify God Tier deaths by Human Society.
When as Doc Scratch said himself, the outcome is different for each individual and even more different for every race.
Vriska was a Highblood, and had the right to kill Tavros right off the bat at any time she chose.
But she didn't.
Tough she was pretty screwed in the head by being raised into a KILL KILL KILL MURDER MURDER CONQUER CONQUER machine, aka the ideal conquering troll and what society had intended for her, (hence the castle hive, ostentatious lusus, etc. ) she had tried to help Tavros on multiple occasions.
Flarp had been for fun and to make meeting her obligations both easier and a bit more enjoyable.
She never intended to hurt anybody close to her.
She was manipulated into crippling Tavros in the first place, though her instincts made it natural for her.
Doc Scratch had told her to kill him, implying that this was his desired result. Vriska either crippled him as an act of both mercy and defiance, or it was completely unintentional. I like to believe it was the prior.
Doc Scratch knew that Tavros would live.
He had to in order to write his half of the t1ck t0ck code and help Lord Engligh arrive.
The doctor had quite the deep understanding of the alpha timeline.
This is also why he manipulated Vriska into killing Aradia, because Aradia had to write t0ck in the ashes of her desecrated hive.
Why Terezi had to blow her arm off and why she herself had to be blinded.
Doc Scratch was the unseen hand behind it all.
Vriska would not be held accountable for those actions, seeing as they had to happen. Though what she did was cruel and horrible, it was necessary to both her and Doc Scratch as well as acceptable and incouraged by her own position in society.
The only thing that could have warranted a Just Death would be if Vriska had wanted Jack to follow her trail and kill her friends or if she had really understood the threat of that outcome. None of these were the case.
If Slick didn't bust her clock, I'm sure she would have revived.
Ding dong the 8itch is dead? More like SMASH SMASH the 8itch is cheated.
