YAY~! I finally made myself a Loki amigurumi! HE'S SO CUTE! I also entered this in ~circuskillers ' contest on YouTube. The scepter is my own pattern, so I'll post that eventually on my blog [along with 5+ patterns I've made so far, ahahah...]. right after seeing this i went and printed the patterns for both of them. I started Thor last night. After about 2 hours of work, i got the head, body, legs and about an inch of his hair.
Did you use the tutorial for hair that she linked to? Or did you do something different? I have found that method of hair she linked to is great, but is time consuming, and quite difficult unless you have 4 hands XD. I was wondering if you knew any other ways to do it.

I didn't look at the hair tutorial she recommended, but I made a "wig cap" in his hair color [basically the first few rows of the head], sewed it onto his scalp, and with a tassel maker I cut many strands of yarn and latch-hooked each piece on every other round. That might be time consuming too, but it's the hair method I like best, rather than not making the "cap."

Ah! I see! yea the tutorial she recommended is great but you need quite a few hands. i tried something different and it worked. I wrapped the yarn around cardboard over and over, pinning the ends and a few spots in the middle through the side of the carboard (so the pin sits in the middle). Then i took close-color thread and sewed the strands together. Then i took them off, sewed them all to his head, and cut the loops. He has such a head of hair XD.
But yea. I finished him, and gave him a wicked haircut. Now im just waiting for the helmet and his helmet wings to dry before i sew them together.
As a tip when you make thor: I really really dont like the cape she made. Its also quite confusing. I chained 13, and at the beginning and end of each row i increased, and in the middle of each row i SC'd. After i finished i slipstiched around the whole thing and added a chain of 6 to each corner of the shorter side for the "straps" she mentioned, and sewed those on. So now he had a cape that goes out more.
And it helps to sew on his armor before his legs.
How did you manage to place the arms, eyes, and legs right? mine look a bit off.
