Hiiii, I'm comming from ProjectComment ~

So, this solider reminds me of Hotaru from Sailor Moon... maybe it's because of the haircut. Which, speaking of which, I like it! It does seem like it has a flow. Also the highlights there are perfect. It's the best part, alongside the pose. It really tells about the character.

Honestly, I think she is pretty cute; although no one that you can mess with. The expression looks decisive. I like that. The shading it's OK as well... although I'm not a particular fan of using soft brushes when you already shading with flat colors; not for the lights, at least. But I suppose that's been done on purpose. It's not making me feel odd, so it's fine. One thing I can point out thou is the coloring it's not really cleaned-up. I can see some paint spilling outside the left boot... aaand some little pixels painted in white as well.

One thing that bothers me thou is how short the blade is. I don't know what type of sword is... but normally they aren't too short. Unless it is a cutlass, which, in that case, it must be just a bit longer. That being said, the shape is odd as well. Maybe you should take a look here. The part of the handle is pretty irregular as well.

Also, this is nothing new, but the hand it's a bit weird. The little finger it's in a weird position. Maybe there is a lot of space in-between... I don't know; I have trouble with hands myself, so I can't help much here. I have to say that at least is dynamic. It's just the little finger that it's not following the structure. Anyway, if you want to draw something and you don't have clear how it's the shape, it's OK to use references... and maybe a bit of research if you feel for it. And some previous doodles for design the object it if you aren't sure.

Oh, and I almost forgot; the left shoulder pad looks shorten than the other one. It should continue after the hair. But nevertheless the rest of it is well-done. Keep on drawing!

Cheerio~! :3

Yes, I knew the hand was a little funny, but i think i was too far a long to change it last minute. I admit i didn't give as much thought to what model or type of sword she was using but i wanted it to be short, as she is supposed to be a witch and magic is her primary weapon. I will defiantly do some research and maybe to a follow up piece with a more accurate sword model. Thank you so much for your critique. I post these in my discord server and all I get is praise which is depressing because I want to improve.  Look out for some ore of my work, I just finished a new one which is arguably a little better in terms of anatomy in my opinion, but I'm the artist so don't talk my word for it.

Well, if you are getting praise, that means you are doing something right. But I understand that shallow compliments aren't helpful at all... glad I helped you out.

Also, of course! I'll take a look on your gallery :3

Eh, the hand is a little messed up. But great drawing, by the way!
