The glass-like effect is a Layer Effect one can make in in Photoshop. It is a very flexible capability in the program. Do you know that you can download and use an earlier version of Photoshop (32-bit) free legitimately? I find that I need to use it when I want an older 32-bit filter that is not supported by the new 64-bit programs. It is the full-featured program and worth the time to use as a learning tool. Thank you for letting me know ^^ I am kind of used to Krita for now but I might check out photoshop some time in the future (Btw, technically the link seems to have gone missing). Talking about Adobe programs, currently I should be really trying to learn and use Illustrator since I actually got a year`s licence through my studies for now

I used to use CorelDraw all the time, but since I am not making brochures or office art and literature anymore, I just stay in the pixel[painting world. Vector art takes much time to get perfect, and I think drawing with Bezier curves is tedious at best. But, for my needs now, even an old free version of Illustrator or CorelDraw will suffice. I think you should learn Illustrator if it is free. They are bound to let you keep some rudimentary version for free so you can at least read what you have made.
