I had the lovely opportunity to make a group icon for one of my favorite species on DA!!

Bepotelkh are sapient cervids that resemble elk. There are several subspecies and the species as a whole comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, and attitudes. They are a spirited creature that will follow their own whims and desires, seeking out the places where they feel most content. For some, that is in the wild whether with a herd or alone. For others, it is in captivity that they find comfort, either as a prized companion to a caretaker, or as a working elkh.
They may live in the wild or they may live in villages with companions, humans or otherwise, who take care of them. Bepotelkh are fairly proud creatures, however, and if their caretaker doesn't treat them well or fails to solidify a bond with them, they will not waste any time leaving them in the dust. Some are born in "captivity" and considered domestic, but may still rejoin their wild brethren if conditions in captivity are not ideal. If you do forge a strong bond with your bepotelkh, they will be a loyal friend for life!
