Description

When the 23rd Century came about, Starfleet had 16 NX Classes from when the UFP was called the UESPA. So, at the Utopia Yards, Starfleet Engineers completely refitted these old NXs with new technology. Firstly, a more defined secondary hull, to which a neck was also added. Secondly, new nacelles, these new nacelles were simular to both the Scamp and Pacer Classes nacelles. The new NX Class was capable of Warp 6.5 and Warp 7.9 at emergency. But exactly like how this NX Class became to be known as the 'Embassy Subclass' the original NX Class would govern the name Utopia for it's new class name, the ship later in it's life would be converted to a Destroyer, but only 6 had this as the remaining 10 were sold off to privateers around the Beta Quadrant.
