It is. I also didn't read this before I watched this. Well.. The other parts are awesome! Just the more recent thing wasn't all that uh.. I dunno. We got information and plot it just wasn't as exciting I guess in the end. The other stuff's great though. Hopefully this'll lead to something great. Hopefully.

Here's the main plot points so far that you need to know:
after the war against hat Corp our two flux buddies begin anew, everything was fun and games (with a few mistakes here and there as per flux buddies usually) but one day Duncan wasn't acting right, he was killing the chocobos they where raising for food even though Kim already made a noodle bar, eventually Kim knocked 'Duncan' into the river and his 'flux' came off, turned out he was a fake and was keeping the real flux Duncan in the spare meteor, the fake escaped. The next day Kim and Duncan woke up to a slaughter to the chocobos with blood everywhere and a note from 'lalnable hector', our two flux buddies went searching for lalnable but all they found was an abandoned mud hut with a diary (and a doll with May or may not have some plot behind it besides a hidden camera device), the dairy talked about how lalnable was observing the two flux buddies but had to go in un prepared, he also took a hair sample from Kim when he was undercover and hoped all his work would please his master. It was peaceful after that, a huge flux biome was found near by where Kim would get hypnotised and hears a voice she calls 'mother', one day they found the doll in their noodle bar garden, they found lalnable'so new layer but they also found 4 failed experiments on cloning Kim with the 5th one, or 'experiment 5' being successful, this caused great distress in Kim, more adventures of the flux buddies happened after that including sjin hiding a bard who played music all day, eventually they made their way to the deep dark, there was a huge taint biome and Kim became hypnotised and fainted, Duncan found her without any armour and much more 'light headed' like she was attracted to Duncan, her other eye became flexed, before they left the deep dark Duncan found a castle with a note from Kim, he left the deep dark first only to see the real Kim on the other side, he very quickly destroyed the portal and kept it in a pocket dimension but that dimension became fluxed many episodes later, finally lalnable came and wrecked (or rekt) everything, killing Billy the penguin (he then got revived but died when the door mod was removed leaving billy to the thorns) and stealing tiddles, he demanded experiment 5 back and got her in the end, later Duncan and Kim summoned him for revenge in an obsidian tower but that didn't work. vampires (including Dave the admin) attacked the flux buddies base episodes later and teleported Kim to a maze dimension where she comes face to face with experiment 5 (who now has golden wings), after this Duncan and Kim decided to suit up and create OP weapons to fight Lalnable.
last episode Duncan creates his dragonic staff, if you want to watch the episode spoiler free do it now but if you want to know what happens then I'll tell you in the next comment...

Warning: spoilers ahead, read at your own risk...
here's the ending of this episode, Duncan tries out his staff in the taint biome, it destroys a huge chunk of tainted land to show a dark tunnel, all this time when Kim is in the biome she thinks she can hear something, she's attracted to the flux tunnel straight away, she hears 'mother' again, Duncan tells her to stay away, Kim says goodbye to Duncan after 'mother' asks Kim to follow her and Kim vanishes, what will happen? Find out next time
