As I was writing this comic I had to edit out a lot of other shitty experiences we had, for the sake of this not turning into a 30 page comic.Like the terrible mold problem we had in our first place. Or when my ex was going door to door in our building trying to see if anyone had seen our cat that had gone missing out of our window (thanks to the landlady), the guy who was beating up his wife in panel 4 told him that if he found her he'd kill her. Doncha just love people?
For the record the apartments we lived in/check out were in the West End and North Vancouver, not the dumpy scary parts of Vancouver.

Instant fave. I couldn't get enough of this comic and the fact I get and have been through every single thing in this comic. The music blasting, the incompetent landlords-even the barf sailing by your apt window. Oh the horros of living in the same building with strangers. Wonderful and hilarious way of depicting them- the scavenger hunt game in the messy apartment panel was a cute touch.

Holy jeez, you had some freaky places. This makes me feel really lucky, though the place I am in now is a bit dumpy. I've really thought of moving back home (I reeeally miss the Okanagan and my parents) but I'm not sure when I'm ever going to manage that. I don't know what kind of an industry the Okanagan has and now that I'm committed to trying to work in that, I'm not sure what to do. I know Kelowna has a few studios though... anyway, awesome comic! High class stuff Brinny!

To be fair, where you lived in North Van was kinda on the edge of what little bit of dumpy scaryness North Van has.
I also had panel 8 happen to me when I was looking for my first place in Vancouver. I immediately turned around and walked out.

Yeah I guess, but the building itself atleast looked pretty nice.
The apartment in panel 8 was in North Van, a few blocks off of the north part of Lonsdale Ave. He showed us a pretty clean place first, it was ok if a bit small. Then he decided to show us that horrible mess for some reason.
