Some small pic of Kira's mother! I finally got some motivation to draw her X'D...still no name for her tho

Kira's mother is perhaps the closest we'll be to see how Kira would have been if her body would have developed some more. Kira's supposed to look a lot like her mother and I think it shows, there are only a couple of minor differences, for example, Kira's hair is more puffy and messy, Kira's mother is also short but she's a bit taller than Kira (probably around 1,50-1,55m) and looks more feminine than Kira, she's not precisely flat but her bust is a bit smaller than average. Personality wise she's very friendly and maternal, she doesn't talk a lot but she's not as quiet/shy as Kira, she's rarely seen angry/upset and she's very optimistic. Other details about her, she's completely human but she's got a "gift" that was given to her at some point, the ability to heal others with the energy of her soul, however she is very reserved with this ability and only recurs to it when it's critical to heal the "patient", but anyway, thanks to this ability and her love for flowers/nature, she also got really invested into crafting potions and medicine for people and she was known as some sort of "medic" among the town folks. Just like Kira, she doesn't rely a lot in material goods and carries a rather simple life, also, unlike Kira, she sleeps well most of the time but usually after using her healing ability she ends up sleeping more than usual out of exhaustion, in average she sleeps around 6-8h per day, but after using her ability she can sleep up to 15h+ to recover. Some of her hobbies included reading, crafting medicines, playing the violin, gardening, etc

Regarding to Melkart (Kira's father), she didn't like that he killed humans but she also understood that he had to do it as it's part of his nature and a mean to survive, feeding on their souls; she didn't condone it but she didn't stop him either, however she'd ask him from time to time if there was a way for him to stop doing it. He never completely stopped killing humans but he started to try not to kill them so often, which is something I guess. Anyway, she still loved him and even though she felt bad about it, she compromised to "compensate" it by helping as many people as she could. It was a weird dinamic, like some sort of moral balance, while Melkart had to kill people to feed himself, she'd put a lot of effort into helping anyone who'd need her. Don't get her wrong, she knew what he was doing wasn't good (from a human standpoint) and she was accomplice, but there was little she could do to stop it so the only way she could find to compensate for one person's death was to help other person to live/have a better life. Have to mention, even though it wasn't her who killed people, she still felt guilty about it and considered herself a bad person

Spoilers (Here's some more info though I consider it a bit spoilery, but not all of it will be on the comic)

She was well known back at that time and people often came to see her to seek help and to buy medicines from her, it was like her job but it was also very gratifying for her to help people. Her relationship with Melkart was a bit troublesome at the beginning. They first met at the forest after Melkart had been injured, she offered her help but Melkart being so prideful rejected it at first, however after some time insisting he accepted (have to clarify that she's was aware of Melkart's demon nature and still offered help). Melkart's wounds were a very rare type of wound (dangerous to demons and especially to shadow demons) so he was really surprised when he found out she was capable of healing them, but between the extend of the wounds and the amount of energy it takes her to heal them, it took more than one "session" for him to be in a good condition again, it took around 4-5 days to heal him completely so they spent some time together however they didn't talk alot, just the ocassional "what demons/humans normally do?" and things like that. Anyway after Melkart was healed he felt he was in debt with her so he asked her if there was something he could do for her, she told him she'd be happy if he'd stop killing humans but Melkart rejected that suggestion tho she already expected it, anyway there wasn't really much she wanted from him so they just parted ways. After a while, crows started surrounding her house and she felt she was being constantly watched and well, turned out to be Melkart (it was kinda creepy tbh, he'd just stood there in front of her house, looking at her through her room's window from the shadows of the forest) she didn't freak out but thought it was odd so she invited him to come in, he didn't accepted at first and just keep up there; it became routine, sometimes she'd sit at the foot of her window and stare back at him and they'd stay staring at each other for while (a pair of weirdos), they sometimes had conversations and at some point she asked him if he didn't grow bored of that to which he answered that sometimes he does but he'd also get curious about the things she does (human stuff and such) and after asking him a couple more of times to come inside the house, he accepted and they discussed about his odd/creepy behaviour, he basically told her that there were a lot of dangerous beings out there and since he still had a debt to her he was keeping an eye on her so that she wouldn't be killed or something like that, she thanked him for that but told him it wasn't necessary and he told her he'd do it anyway, at least until he felt the debt had been paid. After some time he'd come inside the house more often and they'd start to spend more time together and get closer, most of the time they'd just have conversations about human/demon behaviour, her job, their cultures, etc, sometimes he'd accompany her to the forest to look for flowers and such, she'd cook for him so he could taste humans' food, show him some of her favorite music, books, sometimes she'd also play the violin for him and he on the other side would tell her stories about his life as a demon, how he felt about humans, he'd show her some of his abilities and such, it was a nice exchange of human/demon culture; eventually they fell in love with each other and with the time they had Kira, but even though these were nice times to them it didn't last long

After Kira was born, Melkart started to spend less and less time inside the house, he still loved her a lot, mind you, but he was afraid his presence would disturb her and he didn't want her to be afraid of him, Kira's mother tried to convince him to stay but she ended up giving up on it, despite he had stopped being in the house with them, he went back to watch them from outside to make sure they were safe. After a while, when Kira had grown up a little, her abilities started to manifest, not in the sense that she could use her abilities but some more disturbing effects, she started to hear voices, seeing weird things like shadows moving around, having nigthmares, etc; Kira's mother was really worried so she asked Melkart about it and he told her that it was common for demons to experience things like those and that it could be of help to teach her how to control her powers, she wasn't sure if she wanted Kira to get involved into demon stuff but she figured out at least to give it a try, she also thought it would be a good chance for Kira to spend more time with Melkart, as Kira barely knew who her father was and had sometimes asked about him. Long short story, it didn't turn out very well and due to some events, Kira ended up being more afraid of Melkart and running away from him and getting lost in the forest (this is when she meets Victor), later on she's found by her mother and she takes her home, after what happened, Melkart and Kira's mother decided to maybe postpone her "training" until she was older so it would be easier for her to understand the nature of her abilities; since Kira's mother was still worried about Kira experiencing creepy stuff (which was starting to affect her health), she got the silver cross and got someone to bless it and then she gifted it to Kira and told her to wear it whenever she was afraid/feeling fear of something, it worked really nice and as long as Kira was wearing it, she'd stop experiencing such things, or at least, not so often to be too worrying

By that time, even though Melkart didn't let himself being seen by other humans, his constant presence around the house started to generate some rumors about a demonic entity surrounding the place and the forest and with the time less and less people would come to visit her. People started to say she was a witch all along, that her "gift" was dark magic instead and that she was responsible for the deaths/disappearances of people by using them as sacrifices to summon demons. Needless to say it also affected Kira as she was often bullied by other kids for being "the son of a witch" and this is in part why she became so afraid of people and tends to isolate herself from others. Things just got worse and worse, people started to insult them, throw stones at their house, among other things and it all culminated in her death; it's unknown who killed her but Melkart blamed humans and after finding out her dead body he went on a killing spree that lasted for a while, people was too afraid to go out of their houses as corpses where found very often and there was a big feeling of dread/fear in the air, these were dark times for the town (except for Vincent tho, he got a lot of patients at that time due to a lot of people coming to see him after experiencing constant fear/anxiety, panic attacks/mental breakdowns, the lost of loved ones, etc, he really enjoyed himself and considers these were really good times). After a while the deaths started to slow down and the town started to forget and recover from it, people keep dying/dissapearing but not as often as before and to avoid a new wave of collective panic it was blamed to an unknow serial killer and not something supernatural, however there are still rumors about the "witch" that used to live in the house near the forest and how she cursed the place and the forest which is now inhabited by evil spirits so people avoids going there, it doesn't help that currently Mad's living there with Kira so often the people who ventures going near the house/forest "disappears", perpetuating the rumors

Phew, that was a lot of text X'D, the reason why I went so into detail with her background is because I'm not sure how much of it will be on the comic. I want to do some special chapters completely dedicated to Melkart and Kira's mother story but idk if I'll have the time so I thought to give you at least and description of it in case I didn't manage to put it in the comic
