I don't know why I made this. The idea is not in reference to any mood or experience, nor any trait or perception of this particular character. The original idea was supposed to be more surreal, although that too had no particular reason.

There's a list of picture ideas on my desktop that make sense and have purpose, but I didn't feel like making any of them this week. I don't know why, either. This image wound up leading me to other new ideas, which are also weird, but are a little more refined. Refined weird.

I like Applejack. As far as show characters go, I'd like to feature her more often than most, certainly in more comfortable situations. The impression I've had throughout making this was that she was either journeying to the Crystal Empire, or doing a quick forgotten chore on the farm at an inconvenient time.

A lot of this picture was done with my mind elsewhere. I've been distracted by a lot of things lately, and also gave myself half the time to make this that I usually do for pictures with backgrounds.
