Description It's a bit late, since I had a lot to do over the holidays and not much time to finish this before Christmas came around...

Anyway, this is a gift-art for -- She's always there to chat with me, and give me good advice for my artwork. So for her, the gift of Zakuro

This was really...REALLY fun to work on. (Then again, why wouldn't a mostly naked Zakuro-sama be fun? ). Pose is reference from [link] -- very helpful site, since my anatomy was off in most places when I first attempted this.

XD I wouldn't mind opening a present like this. My only trouble would be figuring out what to do with him first... Ahahaha.

Remember that colored page from Zero-sum? It just screamed of, "Check out my awesome abs and super tight fitting leather pants that shows off my fabulous muscled thighs, suckas!" aside from boasting how powerful he was I loved that page. I edited it to change his hair color to purple

ah, ah I do remember that page xD Zakuro is totally a show-off, but that is what makes him such a fantastic character And he makes me laugh...so hard XD

I think I prefer his hair purple, myself. The weird green-yellow-blond color is okay but not as becoming as the purple.

Zakuro looked really dangerous on his first appearance but he turned out to be such a lovable dork XD
That weird color is like a dye job gone totally wrong I'm so glad they changed it to purple in the anime.

XD He did. When he first appeared, my thought was "Oh wow, another youkai bad-ass!" And then...he started talking. He is a VERY likable character, and certainly ranks high in my list of favorite "non-villains" ...because he's a bad guy, but not really a bad guy (does that make sense?). Kind of like how Kougaiji is a villain, but not really because everything he was doing was for that bitch, Koushu, until he decided to do it for himself and his imprisoned mother...

I think the real villain of Saiyuki is Dr. Nii/Ukoku Sanzo... (and, am I the only freak who thinks he's gorgeous as Ukoku? even if he is a bit creepy..? D: ).

Yes. I don't know what color to even really call his hair...the purple looks infinitely better. Besides, a demon with purple hair and vivid green eyes..? (what a great color combination ahahaha...)

I seem to enjoy characters like him, I don't understand why. (Perhaps that says something about myself D: ).

LOL Pedobear costume!! That is a picture waiting to be drawn, I think XD

While I like Nii's character, I prefer how he looks as Ukoku rather than the 'doctor' look. He cleans up nicely... (and was rather handsome when he was just a monk at Zen'ou Temple going by the name of Kenyuu...sort of looked like Hakkai...and as we know, Hakkai is a little bit dark and creepy sometimes, himself. This must be the basis of why I like Nii's character...hmm...)

I was going to draw the box closed first, but then, knowing poor Zakuro...he might have gotten lost trying to get out I'm only teasing, though. I actually wanted to do a thumbnail of the gift box and then click to full view it open, but I couldn't find the option for it D: So, I'm sorry your present came already opened, though I think Zak-sama is OK with that, too.
