I'm... not sure where to begin with this one. I can tell from the title the image is supposed to evoke hope, and it really did. The jewels and sparse clothing on the female make it clear she doesn't belong in this woodland setting, depicting a sense of hopelessness in a depressing bog. The dove and the sunlight behind it is such an iconic image that I'm sure by this point even non-Christians would see it as a sign of hope.

My vision was about how we are crushed and driven to despair by the pressure of living in the city! Unable to take any more she throws herself into the water but then as the sun hits her face she looks up sees the true beauty of the world and suddenly has hope! I know the picture has Christian symbolism but it's not meant to be religious! Thank you for commenting!

Well, that was kind of my point. That image became popular because of Christianity and has now spread beyond that realm. Even an atheist sees a dove as a symbol of hope.
