Description She sat there, terrified, between the arm and body of a massive creature. It came from no where, and now she is stuck underneath it; to afraid to move and possibly awaken it.

There were three of them: three girls, all friends, escaping a predator ravenged city together. They found an old tunnel and wandered in, expecting a good hiding spot. At first they thought they found a tomb: skeletons and bones littered the floor. It looked like nothing had been there for hundreds of years. They felt safe for the first time since the trex first showed up.

They started to get comfortable when they heard a noise. The hall they entered was sealed by a large block. The three jumped at the loud bang, but the fear wore off quickly. The tomb was large enough, there was bound to be another way out; and with that hall closed, any predators outside would not be able to get in.

The three women would soon find out they are not alone or safe, but trapped. Another noise shook the tomb. This sound was not a rock or other object falling, this sound was alive. A large creature emerged from the darkness, lunging at the group. Shrieks and cries filled the air as one of the women was picked up in the green monster's mouth. Its head snapped back and forth, the friend's body slowly disappeared behind the scaly skin. The other two screamed and climbed around, looking for a new way out. One woman started to run toward the darker side of the tomb, but a loud hiss sent her running back. As she ran back to her other friend, her vision is blocked, teeth bite her waist, and her entire torso is engulfed in the maw of the green creature. The final woman watches in horror as a shape slides down the long throat.

The beast turns its head to the last woman. Cowering in a corner with no way out, she watches hopelessly as the mouth gets closer. The head moved close, nostrils opened and sucked the air around her. A wet tongue wrapped around her arm, pulling it to the creature's mouth. Teeth bit her arm, the pressure nearly causes her to faint. But instead of pulling the rest of her into its maw, it yanked her around to its side and sat her down. The creature positioned its arm to pinch her between his elbow and belly before releasing her arm. She sat frozen, unsure what would happen next. The rest of the beast relaxed, slightly curling around her. The head made a sudden movement: it swung around, reaching for a skeleton on the ground, grabbing a bone, and began gnawing on it. Very soon it was asleep.

Now the girl sat there listening to the muffled screams comming from the swollen skin behind her. She wanted to respond, cry back at them, or touch the bumps that occasionally bulged out, but she didnt want to wake the monster. She did not want to be in there. She wanted to run away and find an exit, but she feared moving. She didnt want to move a finger or even breath, fearful it might wake up. To make the situation worse, a snake slithered over to them. It wrapped itself through the leftovers of a previous dinner and turned its attention to the girl. She had a huge fear of snakes, and this one wouldnt leave. Its head moved closer to her, and she made a quick motion with her arm. The snake hissed, but stayed put. Every fiber in her body told her to scream, but she remained silent. She moved further underneath the monster, trying to hide from the snake. Her enemy, and possibly the thing that is going to eat her later, was her protection. The three living things sat still, the only sound came from the scaly belly. The woman wanted to sleep, or more accuratly, wake up. She believed it was a dream, it had to be. She couldnt be eaten now: she survived the city, came all this way to be safe, only to be held by a monster for later. She sat still, repeating in her mind, "I will not get eaten, I will not get eaten, I will not be eaten," over and over again.

In the end, she lied to herself. Several hours later, after the snake left and she had dozed off, she opened her eyes to find a green head in front of her. A tongue moistened its lips. She sat petrified, slowly shaking her head. The tongue slipped back behind the shining lips, and the maw opened wide.

Whoops, did not mean to make it that long. I only wanted the last three paragraphs, not half of a book. Oh well, I think you guys like reading
Fun little scene with a not so fun tale of survivors. To escape the city but mistake a tomb for a lair. I can say though: they werent the only ones, who else is on the ground here?

This is just wonderful. I can imagine her fear, sitting there with her friend's bulges hitting her in the back of the head, and their screams ... And the way the snake is weaving through the skeleton is a nice touch. I wonder if the snake was expecting a meal, or just scaring her? Surely the snake finds something to eat down here.

I also love how the dragon is chewing on the bone, like a dog would. I wonder where the skeletons are all from? Does the dragon pass them out, burp them out, etc, or were they here before him?

Im sure there are plenty of rats for the snake. As for the skeletons, I think the dragon spits them out. Its probably why he hasnt eaten the last girl yet: he eats too much, skeletons poke his insides causing discomfort, he spits out whats left. Im sure his system can handle bones, just not that many bones.

Hah, I'm sure that's tons of fun for the leftover girl, watching her friend's bones being spit out.

Well, the good news is she wont have to see that. The bad news is she will still have to see whats left of her friends after the dragon decides to eat her.

I dont either. Just knowing you are going to be eaten in the near future would be torture for anyone. Especially if you are this close to the predator.

I thought the story was great; not too long at all, just the right length.

Clever dragon! Where's the use in wasting good food when you're full?

Oh, good. I thought I dragged it out a bit too long. I had that problem in an english class: all of my stories were reaching 3 pages in about 30 minutes. So Id always end rather abruptly. "Uhh, this is going on forever. You know what... 'they all died'. There, the end."

Heh, at least you got round to ending them... When I wrote stories in english class they just went on and on, passing 3 pages easily and never actually going anywhere.

A bit of a bright lighting setup for the scene you described, but me likes anyway
Story is nice o3o

Haha, it reminds me of a short story - or a part of one - where this human is walking along with this dragon only slightly larger than himself, and the two are heading for this outpost and one of the guards (An elf I think) who apparently knows the dragon personally greets him before noticing the human tailing behind him and asks "Who's you're friend?" to which the dragon merely snorts "Leftovers." before continuing on inside.

I can't really remember the details behind it all, other than the dragon was kidding ^^

Lighting this area is difficult for me. The preset lights are all too bright or way too dark.

Sounds like an interesting story

Might have to tweak it to suit your needs then
Presets are after all there for you to base your own stuff off of ^^

Yup yup o3o
Was meant to be a humorous idea X3

I think so too, of course, the time to do them is also getting longer. I think my first renders took maybe 20 minutes of setup and 2 minutes to render. These take several hours of setup and 15-60 minutes to render.

I use a game engine for mine. So it renders in real time...hence the lower quality.
