Oh good, I was worried they wouldn't work! I just felt like that all-black lines were too stark, especially in She Ra's hair. Colored lines are hard to do though! It's so different from just doing all the lines the same and not worrying about it!
Personally, I liked it a lot, I thought it was super cute! But, like you, I've never seen the original, I know there were some fans of the original that didn't like the changes to the animation style or that He-Man's not in it. And while I won't dismiss those that don't like it for being different, for people like you and me that don't have a lot of attachment to the original, it might be more enjoyable. Honestly the animation is a little rough around the edges, I'm not gonna lie, but I certainly don't think it's awful animation? The magical-girl-esque designs are super appealing to me. It's also super gay, like, hella gay. I think that's the main reason half the people that like it, like it. XD If I'm being honest I saw a bunch of screenshots/fanarts of 'magical girl and her cat girlfriend' and was like 'I need this in my life.' XD
Hmm, as for advice, I use lots and lots of layers, drawing each part of the character on separate layers, for both lineart AND coloring. That way if I need to adjust the head or arm or whatever I can mess with it alone without messing up the rest of the drawing. Also, use the lasso tool, it is your best friend! Isolate the part you need to edit and then mess with it as you need, move it around, rotate it, re-size it, erase it, etc. For example, a lot of times I have an arm or leg be too long or short, if that happens I lasso part of the limb and move it inwards(to shorten it) or outwards (to lengthen it) if you lengthen it you'll need to either stretch it or redraw a line or two to re-connect. Sometimes you may even have to alter other things to get the effect you want. As an example, in trying to make She Ra taller I tried just lengthen her legs, but that just made her legs look too long, I ended up having to lengthen her whole dress, to make it look more natural. Also, try to catch as MUCH as possible before you start coloring, though I know that's not always possible, but it helps a lot if you only have to edit the lines and not EVERYTHING! I hope this advice helps, though I'm not an expert so I'm not an authority on this or anything.

It was certainly worth the time you spent on this .
The pose looks really nice and I like the colors and lighting as well as the expressions.
