I couldn't attend school because I'm not a citizent, just a traveler. I had a teacher that would come to my house and teach me for 2 hours a few times per week

oh i see thats still pretty good i was trained in CAFA. (China Central Academy of Fine Arts) 中央美院. if you ask ur teacher he prob knows where that is XD

Honestly, I don't remember ^^" I never thought about picking up graphites again.
I think actually HB to sketch out the form and 2b to shade the basic dark areas.

I don't think so I've never used lines while I took class I always smoothed mine out bc I was not good at this whole line capturing study so this is awesome to me!
