EDIT: I knew I wanted him to be monochrome but he needed some colour and I'm grateful for the help from for deciding on purple for me XD I was considering red.

The idea behind him is that he is tainted, corrupted, the purple represents how he is bound to misfortune the black part under the purple is his original markings white the white over the purple is the area that is corrupted if that makes sense. The tear drop has a lot of meaning for such a simple thing too. It's his sorrow for becoming such a creature, and teardrop crystals are known as "friendship crystals"

I'm going to be totally honest and admit that when I first started to draw him I was angry and wanted to hurt someone with him. I have so many sketches of attempts but only when I calmed down and let myself draw to relax did he start to form and became something completely different. That's when I started to put love into him and I realised something.

I will never use my art to hurt another, regardless of what I have been accused of. I put far to much love into my art to use it for something hateful. Art means to much to me.

This guy helped me sort my head out so much.

So if that person happens to see/read this - Hate me all you want, believe what you want, do what you need to make yourself feel better. Truth is I never hated you and you couldn't be more wrong about me.

I've never been so grateful for art <3
