I was finding myself lured into the intensity of this piece. I don't know, it illustrates the range of color and emotions one can feel when you're really passionate about music....I get like that with older rock, and some metal.

neat! I was trying to get some emotional stuff packed in there, but its always tough to tell if it worked. She was a concept piece for a video game about being a DJ. something I did on the side just to get my head around the subject. I sometimes mess around with the images when I drop em to web resolution (hence the cropping and half tone) anyways, glad you enjoyed her! ^____^

the colors are great - but i didn't realize there were textures until i got closer to the image - it reminds me of the older comics where if you looked closely at their...limited....color, you could see the dots that created the color - was that something you were trying to imitate ?
how did you color it anyway? it kinda looked likea water color until i saw the texture, but the textured pieces are so 'clean and unniform' that it looks like they're done on the computer....?

glad ya liked it! it was color'd digital in painter. the texture is an overlay, actually the same image run through a half tone filter in photoshop and overlayed. its all smoke an mirrors. no water color here
