Once again I was testing out things and something nice came out for a change.

Here we have a Summoner being all ominous like for our viewing pleasure as is their way. They like whoring for the camera you see. You'd probably see something like this just moments before it steps on you.

*insert a sickly squish noise here*

Did you make this? I've been looking all over for some decent battletech models that I could turn into poseable figure. So far I only have a Mad Cat.

Only a dumb ass would get run over by that. It is a no brainer. The volume ratio to gait rate (steps per second) and rate of travel verses direct control of the legs at high speeds do not permit the possibility of getting sun over or stepped on for that matter as the legs clearly cannot spread or cross thus allowing one free passage between or around them. Haha! Don't you just hate me for being a smart ass.

That's your last chance to escape me, little soldier. Close your eyes and run... Don't forget a prayer if you see yourself running dirty in some seconds - if you see flowers and hear lovely music you're dead. (freely after "Gladiator")

Man, I've been kinda blah lately and haven't had any new ideas x.x I keep fiddling but haven't come up with anything worth rendering. I'll keep at it. And hope sucktastic moods abate.

That viewing angle is so great. Nice job capturing the image of Thor, sure looks better than other models I've seen.

Thx. Not many Thor models out there to give me any competition. I don't think I've ever seen more than two.

Yea, I noticed that. I think the most common Mech would be Mad Cat since it's like the icon of the MW series.

Brilliant job on the lighting. I could almost believe it's a photograph.

It's just a daylight system & mental ray with pretty basic settings.

It's a real pain in the ass to get just right. Sometimes I wonder if it's really worth the effort.

I also like the background, very nice. It looks like you're looking at a nice ALMOST cloudless sky, very good.

Lovely work. The lighting looks really great in this one; the shadows really help define some of the forms. I notice you've got some wear-and-tear on it, too.

Punakettu In reply to KatWylder [2009-04-19 22:51:02 +0000 UTC]

Y hallo thar.

The lighting and materials were indeed what I was trying out with this piece. Nice of you to notice it.

KatWylder In reply to Punakettu [2009-04-20 04:43:58 +0000 UTC]

A good effort should never go unnoticed.

It actually was pretty obvious in this one, though. Typically, your images use a "practical" lighting that shows off the model.
