I like how you have given the tree a mouth like crag. It brings a lot of life to this piece. As well as an dark sense of foreboding.

Well just fail fail fail fail and learn from misstakes. In the end you will get fast and be able to draw a picture like this on a short time, C: still the picture is kinda simple and not alot of details. that is the thing that takes forever to do (:
