Since i dont know much about art this opinion is probably terrable as i dont know what i am talking about.
The shadeing is amazeing especialy in its transition. The colour pallet is a nice choice, in my opinion. I like the small detals like the smaller tufts of fluff on the face and back hoof. The shinyness of the hair and tail give a nice effect and the faded blush looks nice. The background adds a nice contrast without being too jaring on the eyes. The proportions work realy well with with the art style you have chosen to use.
I half feel like a crossed a line and i actually wanted to give you a good critique so i went over the image a few times.
