"…Matt…Matt…" A voice called out to him through the darkness, only it sounded more like an echo in his head them an actual voice.

"…Matt, wake up…"

Matt slowly regained consciousness as the familiar voice echoed one last time.

"Ray, wake up dear," Hope said with much concern.

Matt found himself lying on the floor of the hollow where he had fallen after his attack. The twins, Hope, and Rick were standing over him each with hints of fear and worry on their faces. Matt realized the first voice he heard was merely in his head, but it sounded so familiar and knew his real name.

"Ray, are you alright," Hope asked in a whisper.

Matt sat up with a new set of coarse stiff pain throughout his body. HE rubbed his forehead as he remembered the images that had flashed in his mind while he had his attack.

"I-I think so," He said plainly.

Hope and the twins sighed in relief.

"What happened to you Mister Ray?" Tam asked first.

Matt recalled the images once more, thinking it was best to keep them to himself until he knew what they meant.

Matt took a deep breath, "I don't know, it just felt like I was trapped in a whirlwind, being pulled apart."

Tim and Tam both cringed at the thought that if they went through the same thing. Matt glanced over to Rick who continued to stare directly at Matt with an eerie lost in thought look.

"Um, thank you, for whatever you did," Matt said.

Rick broke from his trance and helped Matt up to his shaky feet.

"You're welcome," Rick relied simply, "Hope; do you think we should stay home to look after him?"

"That might be for the best," Hope said.

"Wait, what are you talking about?" Matt asked.

Hope replied first, "We were planning for our travel to the Berry Festival in the Floraroma Town's glade tomorrow. But seeing about your amnesia and your attack, we should stay to watch over you."

"No Berry Festival?" Tim frowned.

"But, mom, dad, you promised to take us," Tam whined.

Rick embraced the crying twins, "We know sweetie, we'll be able to go next year."

Matt felt sorry for his sudden burden and spoke up, "Now hold on, why don't I just go too. I can carry one the packs to make it easier."

"That's not the point," Hope said sternly, "You're in no condition to travel, what if you have another attack?"

"I feel fine now, see?" Matt shrugged and stretched his arms, "I don't want to make you all miss out on this, Berry Festival was it, because of me."

Tim and Tam's eyes lit up, "He can come along can't he dad?" "Yeah he can come."

The Lucario father set the twins down and glared at Matt, considering the thought.

"Only if Ray feels he's up for the journey."

Matt smiled and nodded yes. Tim and Tam squealed excitedly, hopping around in circles in joy.

Hope pulled Matt aside, "Ray, dear, are you absolutely certain you can do this?"

Matt nodded yes, "I'm sure, it wouldn't be right if I was the burden. I would even leave to go on my own to regain my memories if that's what it would take."

Hope slapped Matt upside the head with her tail.

"Ow, what did I say?"

"You would not have been a burden, and it wouldn't be right to kick you out after we went through all the trouble to save you," Hope said with a mocking smile.

Matt felt a little bashful knowing that comfort.

"Hu, where is Skye?" Rick called from one side of the Hollow.

Matt could hear the twins giggle and making silly faces. A Gligar waltzed into the Hollow and everyone turned to the returning figure. The Gligar seemed pretty beat with a dark bruise on his left check and a fresh looking knick on his right ear. The Gligar immediately go an intense glare from Rick and Hope as they blocked his path.

"…What?" Skye asked, sounding as bored as possible.

"I don't think it needs to be said," Rick crossed his arms.

Hope, taking a little more concerned tone, "And look at you, you're even more beat up than before."

Skye merely shrugged, "Pfft, you should see the other guy."

"I don't care about the 'other guy'", Hope said, "We are more concerned about you."

"What you are doing is reckless and irresponsible," Rick added onto the scolding.

"Don't talk to me like you're my parents."

"Well guess what, we are your guardians now," Hope said, "And as such, we must take responsibility on you. Now go to bed, and don't let us catch you sneaking off in the middle of the night."

The tough little Gligar held his ground for a moment before storming off to a small impression of the Hollow. He forcefully pulled a curtain like cloth that hid him away in the impression which was presumably his own little room.

Hope sighed in exhaustion as Rick comforted her softly. Matt and the twins found the small event funny, but Matt held back his chuckle.

Rick picked up the twins swiftly, "Alright you two, we have a big day and a big week ahead of us so let's all go to bed early."

The twins groaned a collective "Aahhhhh."

"Or we could just stay here all week and skip the Berry Festival, The mother Raichu added.

The twins both gasped, "Night mom and dad."

And with that, they scampered off to a small nest made up of a couple blankets in another impression of the Hollow to sleep.

Rick and Hope both giggled at their wittiness.

"Now I think it is a good idea that we all go to bed early," Rick said as the last rays of sunlight set through the main opening of the Hollow.

"Ray dear, you can take the bed that we set up for you in the other room, "Hope pointed to the room where he had first woken up.

"Okay, thank you again for all you've done for me," Matt said.

Back under the covers of the bed, matt yawned as he realized how tired he still was.

"I'm a pokemon now am I…I still could be dreaming. Maybe I'll wake tomorrow and I'll have all my memories back and be human."

Matt's last thoughts repeated in his mind once more before sleep fully embraced him for the night.
