Your creature kind of looks like that monster from Metroid.

Ripley? I thought he was more like a Pterodactyl. Maybe I'm confusing my Metroid monsters.
I don't know where Feng got the idea. He basically took a thumbnail and blew it up like 300%. Then he made a refined and detailed drawing on an overlay.
I was tempted in going in a completely unique direction this time around (since I've been doing Feng demo's for the past 4 days), but I'm really trying to pick apart his style and the only way to do that is to try and match him stroke for stroke (without tracing).

Please help i bought a subscription to gnomon and i have no idea how to practice. I literally just pause it every once in a while and follow along?

That's exactly how you do it. Just start with lower volumes. Stuff that introduces the interface and when they do something new, pause it and try it. Then once you've finished move on, but don't forget to come back and try the same lesson only instead of following along to a T, apply the process to your own original idea. It will help cement the method the artist might use.

Thanks. I can't really claim that's it's entirely my own, but the exercise was fun.

Yeah, that's the name. Actually your monster kind of looks like a cross between the two. Still, it's scary either way.
