Tonight on #BellyDanceBeauties: Sailor Mars (سايلر جوبتر) from Sailor Moon (سيلور مون).

Oh, look! Now that I'm done remaking the existing entries of this series, I finally made a new one! I had two elements in mind when designing this. First, I chose the finger cymbals to evoke the idea of thunder, since Sailor Jupiter's attacks are lightning and thunder-based. The second is her arm pose, the so-called "genie arms" parallel across her chest. This comes from the season 2 episode "Steal Mamoru's Kiss! An's Snow White Strategy" , a.k.a. "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall" in the old dub version. There is a scene in that episode where the Senshi girls are arguing about who should play the lead role in a play, which Makoto-chan here argues for since he has the biggest breasts among them. Of course, '90s sensibilities being what they were, in the dub she said she had the biggest "talents", which became a meme among fans of the show.
