Tonight on #BellyDanceBeauties, Elena (إيلينا) from Street Fighter III (III ستريت فايتر)!

Given my love for Elena, this was inevitable. I did start out with just her basic costume, because it was my first temptation, but it needed something extra, so I just slapped some harem pants and beads (Kenyan-flag coloured ones, at that!) into the mix. Also, I've noticed how IRL African people have lighter skin on their palms and soles, so I incorporated that as well. I'm surprised I've never done that before, but I like how it came out for my first try.

The pose was referenced from fav.me/d2fqz9s by joe-7 . I felt it a right match based on Elena's personality alone, but there wound up being a deeper connection to it. The Maasai people of Kenya and Tanzania, whom Elena is supposed to be from by the way, also have their own sort of jumping dance (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maasai_p… ). It's not quite the same as depicted, but I have gone on record as seeking to incorporate other world dance styles into #BellyDanceBeauties , so, bonus!
