Aww, I know how he feels. I recently had a kid-character that came to school smelling a bit iffy because of circumstances at home. When teased by his classmates, he overreacted, thinking about the situation at home and how helpless it made him feel. So he punched one of the boys and got sent to the princepal's office, but he felt really sorry about it.
(And even more sorry about it when something else happened after school. D: )
That aside, this is a really cute picture! Oh Rin, we forgive you!

He got a note to give to his mother, who was the object of his troubles.
When he got home, he was scared to show it too her. She was usually drunk, sleeping, or screaming at him for no reason. Their house was a mess and the kid wasn't old enough to manage by himself. Frustrated, he takes it out on his classmate when he gets called Stinky-Poo.
Her reasons for this was because her lazy-ass spouse left her and their son. So she started drinking and blamed her son unjustifiable for it. Deep depression. She hated herself for failing as a mother.
But a day before her son gets into trouble, she takes an overdose, accidentally, and he discovers her dead in bed when entering her room to hesitantly deliver the letter from the principal.
He freaked out and thought he had killed her by not giving her "medicine." (Hard liquor, she would stay in bed for days at the time, getting him to make simple food for her.) He didn't dare touch her body, but he packed things, canned food and a tent. He leaves, telling a curious neighbour that he's leaving on a class trip.
Then he camped out in a nearby forest.
When his teacher got worried he didn't come in, two guards went to his house to speak with his mother. When she didn't answer, they checked around the house before finding a reason to break the door open. She had been dead for over five days. Not a fun thing to come across.
They also found that the boy was missing. And they started looking for him, believing that he might come to harm. That he was shell-shocked by the event with finding his mother dead. And he was, he was blaming himself, calling himself a killer and worse. But he kept to the forest until he started running out of food. Then he went to a nearby town and tried doing chores, getting a job. Not easy when you're eight. One clerk in a ice cream/deli store took pity on him, then got his full name and called him in.
When the guards came, he suddenly got very busy and wanted to leave, but they had several guards and talked him into staying. Luckily, there's someone that the guards who is looking to adopt, so they let the boy stay with him. The kid got along with the guy though. So he got a permanent home with him as his foster parent.
So it ends on a happy note for the kid at least.
Though, at school later, he gets into another fight and gets another letter. He actually pisses himself on the way home, so scared his foster parent has died because he got into a fight.
But his new guardian is of course not dead. But he does tell him he can't go and get mad like this. So they tell his therapist to talk about his anger issues as well.
Geez, sorry, long story. I make up weird stuff sometimes.
The home situation is a bit close to home, just without the drugs and alcohol. Oh, and there was no death. Blargh, I shouldn't write all of this. Sorry. D:

Glad you liked it. XD
I named him David. Boring, yes, I know. But when I usually use weird names like Inram, Squit, Zion, Timja and Kito, David seems exotic. XD

Ahahaha! That's great though! David is a cool name.^ ^
Hm, he has tussled blond hair, messy, you know, like kids usually have their hair. Brown eyes and farmer's tan.

I can imagine it be a bit difficult. :3 Everyone have different imaginations, based on what they might have seen before. Or dreamed, for that matter.^ ^
