Description
I will stand guard at the gates of Eden,
But never shall I enter.
I will guard eternal paradise,
But never shall I taste it.
I will take the pain sent to me,
But never shall I complain.
I will never think my pain meaningless,
But never shall I know what it means.
I will carry out my duties without fault,
But never shall I see their end.
I will cry tears of agony and sorrow,
But never shall my anger grow.
My anger shall never grow,
But agony and sorrow will cause my tears.
I shall never see my duties end,
But I will carry them without fault.
I shall never know what my pain means,
But I will know it is not meaningless.
I shall never complain of pain,
But I will take that which is sent to me.
I shall never taste eternal paradise,
But I will guard it.
I shall never enter the gates of Eden,
But I will defend it to my dying breath.
