I am not dead and/or slacking!Just busy wif things other than artwork.
So... updates n things might be increasingly sporadic.
Just having some fun here... Based on the gorgeous Carnival of Venice costumes. Hope I can get down to coloring it soon. Am trying not to overly worry about the quality of the lineart... because if i do, it'll never get finished. yikes XB
The idea is:
"Dream Agents get to go out once a year to mingle with the human race at the Carnival of Venice! The best thing is, everyone's in costume so no one will really know who's who. A human might be taking a photo with one of the masqueraders, not realising that he or she is standing beside a protector and defender of Dreams and Dreamers. X3
This year Ohm & Squid, Flux Studio's Agents, get a chance to go (they got a bonus. therefore, they have the budget)... and while Ohm's dressed more somberly to fit his general mood (arg~ death glare...), Squid's all decked out and ready to go nuts in the crowd."

I am so excited about seeing this one in color! The Carnival costumes are always so exquisite and wonderful to look at. Let's hope they had fun at the Carnival. XD

I've never been to the Carnival, but I have been to Venice, and I've seen the shops that make the costumes, as well as the little workshops where the mascherari - the mask-makers - work. Those masks are works of art. Expensive, to be sure, but gorgeous, each and every one.
I can't wait to see these colored! Hope to see them up whenever you manage to finish them!

I've always wanted to go to a real masquerade event/party. Though yeah, must be weird trying to strike up a conversation in that situation xD I would talk about zombie sheep... or food. Maybe both (:
