You should be proud! This is a good work of art. I like how it's simutaneously realistic and somewhat abstract (realistic because, well, he's drawn in a realistic style, but abstract sort of because of the background and how it's all a bit blurry). I guess you'd call it impressionistic, almost. I'll agree with ~mira4429 ; he does look quite cute in this picture. I love how you did the shadows on his face and the lines showing the strands of his hair.
