"Hey Amber." Amber looked up and saw Paul following her. "Y'know, Amber's a beautiful name." He raised an eyebrow and winked. Amber giggled and started the combination to her locker. He continued to wink as he leaned against the lockers around hers. Girls giggled at Paul and started winking at him. He straitened up and threw them a smirk.
"What are you doing?" Amber asked with a laugh.
"Well I'm trying to flirt buuuuut...." He gave the other girls a look and they gave him one back and giggled. "Sooo...." Paul started running his hands through her hair. "Do you-" The loud bell rang and Paul cursed at it. They both waited for it to end and then Paul continued. "Do you realise how beautiful your eyes are?" She smiled and looked at her feet while closing her locker. He slowly lifter her head by her chin. "C'mon, don't die on me now." She laughed and stared back at him, his hazel eyes they shined brightly when he smiled. They both stared at each other, speechless, and a teacher eyed watched them closley. "You wouldn't mind if I walked you to your next class, would you?" He held his arm out for her.
"Of course I wouldn't mind." Amber smiled and linked arms with him.
"Aww look at that." Paul smiled at the girls staring at the couple. "They're jealous of you!" Amber stared at the ground with a blush on her face. ALL of the girls in the hallway are jealous of HER. "Alright, this is where we depart." Paul kissed Amber on the cheek and opened the door for her. "I'll miss you!"
"I'll miss you too!" She giggled and took her arm away from his.
"I'll miss you more though!" He gave her one last kiss then walked fast down the hall to his next class, girls hot on his tail. She smiled to herself and closed the door behind her.
He, James Paul McCartney, was hers, or at least he wanted to be. They always kissed and flirted but they never declared themselves as dating. Paul had given her signs that he wanted it to happen but Amber never thought of taking whatever they had that far. Paul seemed patient though, he wanted it to happen and he would wait for it.
When she sat down a knock came at the door, it was Paul. All the girls giggled as he shyly entered the room.
"Yes, Mr. McCartney?" Mrs. Rattsfurd asked.
"Well...uh..." Paul started, giving all the girls a little smile. "My teacher's in a meeting...she told us to just choose a class we wanted to go to." He threw Amber a wink and all of the girls turned to look at her.
"That's why he's here," the young girl behind Amber noted. "He just wants to be with Amber. I mean, seriously, he's not here because he actually likes Mrs. Rattsfurd! She's the meanest teacher ever."
Thankfully, there was an empty seat to Amber's right so Paul walked casually over to her and sat in it. He was the closest person to Mrs. Rattsfurd's desk, but he didn't seem to notice, he was too busy staring at Amber. He couldn't help it, he was in love with her. They met in the seventh grade and from then on he followed her everywhere.
"Hey...Amber." Paul whispered. Amber turned her head to look at Paul. "I love you!" He made a heart with his hands. She giggled but didn't say more. Amber wasn't sure if she was in love with him, he was a crush but usually nothing more, other than a friend. "So, Amber, like I was saying in the hall..." Mrs. Rattsfurd cleared her throat.
"Mr. McCartney, is there something you'd like to share with the class?" Paul's eyes went wide but he calmed when he saw the smile on Amber's face. He smiled back.
"No...I'm fine." She turned back to the class and continued teaching. Paul tore a piece of paper out of one of his notebooks and started scribbling a note down.
"Excuse me, James." All of the girls giggled as Paul turned red. "It seems like you're just asking to tell everyone. Come here." Paul slowly stood up and walked to the front of the room. "What would you like to tell us?"
"Well..." He scanned the room with his eyes and lifted his head up proudly. "Yes I do have something to say. I love our sweet Amber here," he pointed to Amber, "since the seventh grade. And, and Amber...I want to know...will you go out with me? As me girlfriend? I'll love you forever and ever. I promise."
