In case Mike and Byran are thinking about making a 3rd series (after Legend of Korra), we should GET THEIR ATTENTION so they can consider this idea for the 3rd series:

A story where the next Avatar is the main villain who has already taken over and ruined the entire world.

And the heroes we follow are non-Avatar people, for a change.

I don't recall a single episode in the TLA series saying that Avatars are forced against their will to be good people. I don't remember any indication that the Avatar-spirits could see the future and tell if a particular person was worthy of being chosen as the next Avatar.

It should be believable that someone chosen as the Avatar is capable of going bad and turning against what the Avatar is meant to represent.

In the TLA series, we got to see what a regular Firelord's idea of imperialism/tyranny looked like. So in the 3rd series, we could see what an evil Avatar's idea of dictatorship/tyranny looks like. It could be noticeably different from the Firelords', but still horrible.

Here are some of my ideas for story elements. I'd appreciate it if Bryke at least considered using them for a 3rd series. (I'll try to be unspecific enough.)

1) This is the least important one, it makes little difference to me either way -- I'd personally like the evil Avatar to be female, because all the other "Big Bads" we have so far are male...So a female Big Bad would finally break that trend. Listening to the voice acting for a villainous middle-aged woman would be a NEW and refreshing experience in the franchise.

2) The evil Avatar wearing all-white. (along with her minions/armies)
The Reason -- IF Bryke decides that the evil Avatar is unable to go into the Avatar state (unless Bryke decides to create a brand new loophole for that; they @$$-pulled that loophole for bloodbending, afterall.), then she could wear all-white as a substitute for the Avatar State's glowing. The white could be designed to be shiny/parkly too.
Other people might've heard of the Avatar state, but nobody knows that an evil Avatar is unable to master it. Therefore, when people see the Avatar's shiny/sparkly white outfit, they're reminded that the Avatar is a super-powered force, and they're instantly submissive. This is the "Magnificent B**ch" trope.

3) The protagonists encounter the evil Avatar in the FIRST episode and discover her "weakness" before narrowly escaping death.
The Reason -- From the audience's point of view, there has to be a reason why the protagonists are meant to be the ones we're following in the show...My idea is that their encounter causes them to be the first people to discover this evil Avatar's "weakness" and live to tell about it. This could be what inspires the protagonists to try to do something to save the world.
If they try to tell other people, nobody has to automatically believe them, so they have to lay low and think of something they can do themselves. Whether they believe the protagonists or not, it doesn't necessarily mean that defeating her will be any easier. The suspense of the show would be "Can these kids make a difference?" and the audience would really want them to.
