mushroom spirit! he's so sad because the mushrooms aren't flourishing like they are supposed to.I really wanted to practice backgrounds and scenery because I never really do that.... I really like how this came out!
So each piece of land was a different layer; so was each tree.. and each piece was a different layer. @_@ It took forever and I kept bugging my friend James with each little update to it, but I REALLY was excited for it.
My favorite thing is the mushrooms in the foreground.
Uhh, I know the branch direction doesn't make much sense.. hehe... oops?
Let me know what you think! This is the first time I really spent more time on the scenery than the character. <3

I have difficulty with scenery also. I think it's so hard... I never draw them... xDD
I liked yours the far background is especially pretty, and we can see the sky! ^^

Mush rooms are quite cute,but why are there tears in its eyes?Why is it depressed?Has it been forgotten?Or simply stomped on?Why is this mushroom the way it is,THATS what we need to know okay?I think its very neat and the use of the glossy glow around it attracts ones eye to the focus of the image.Great job!

It seems you drew a toadstool not a mushroom ... that position wouldn't allow mushrooms and things to grow because it isn't damp enough since you can still see the light of day. I think it would be better if the whole picture was darker with the forest mushie thing glowing ing all of it's mushie glory!

the background is really awesome. i like how it has depth to it. almost like you're looking through it. poor little mushroom spirit - he's so cute too. i like the mushrooms in the front and the trees. the only thing to me that looks a little off is those mushrooms growing off that tree in the foreground, shouldn't they have a little bit of stalk? other than that it's fantastic. i hope i helped

Very impressive...the leaves on the left look really good and for some reason my eyes were drawn to the mushroom growing out of the tree bark O.o I dunno, why! Perhaps the realism of it? Meh, good stuff!
