Only 3 of them would extract. It said that the rest had some sort of file error...

These aren't working for me.. what's the exact file to put them in?

When your done downloading, an folder thing should come up. Select ALL your files you want. right click>extract to specific folder>Local Disk C:> Program Files> Gimp2->Share>Gimp>2-whatever>Brushes.>Double Click.
Then they should be on there next time you are on GIMP.
