In a community-based game like Animal Crossing, who’s the actual main character? K.K. Slider? Mr. Resetti? You?
For my money, the guy in question is Rover, the little blue cat who never moves into your town. He’s the first character you ever met, if you started playing the Animal Crossing series from the first game on the Gamecube. He’s the animal that crosses your path, not settling down in the way of it.

I haven't actually played Animal Crossing so I was unaware of this jovial chap but he seems like the quintessential spirit of a villager: wherever he lays his knapsack is his home.
A nice lineless style too. Seems like it's trying to look 3D and doing a decent job of it.
I'm not sue though if I think the black face details stand out too much. I daresay that might be how the character models are made, with drawn faces but right now I can't figure out if I think it looks out of place or not.

Great job on this! The coloring is beautiful! I always loved rover and I remember doing everything I could to just get a chance to talk with him again over and over. I was always so sad he would never come to visit me!
