Everything about this looks so great!
The background looks especially incredible. I struggle with backgrounds in photoshop myself so I think its real nice 
The raven itself is very eyecatching too, especially the feather details on the wings. Nice job!

Wow, thank you! I didn't use any tutorials, I just doodled some stuff using black and white, used a whole lot of gaussian blur and masked out the middle so it would appear paler. The trees and birds on it I just painted on and used a tiny bit of motion blur and masked them out by the edges. For the ground, Β I think i just used a hard round brush with small opacity, again just black and white, and smudged it all over the place. I struggle with backgrounds too, I usually just photomanipulate actual pictures after I fail at painting it
