You smiled when you had everything you needed for the day. Your violin case layed on your bed, waiting for it to be touched. Your hair was set loose today, not bothering to even tie it in your usual ponytail. You were wearing today a black short dress with a yellow belt on the middle, flat sandals -black also- on your feet.

You took one last look at yourself in the mirror before going to grab your violin case on one hand and in the other your keys. You exited your room without making too much noise and closed the door slowly.

You looked around and let out a sigh of relief when you noticed your sisters were nowhere to be seen. So as quietly as possible you made your way down the hall which led to the living room area. Hopefully your family was at the backyard doing whatever it is they did, you never spent much time bonding with your family.

So when you reached the living room and peaked your head in and found it empty you smiled and quickly made your way towards the front door.

You were so close! Only a couple of steps more and you could be free!

"_______, where do you think you're going?" Oh and there was the dreadful voice you weren't expecting. Your name rolled off of her tongue in the most annoying way ever and you froze in place, ever so slowly you turned to face the person and found your sister Vriska laying against a wall. Arms crossed over her chest, her blonde dyed hair a mess, she probably had just woken up.

You frowned. Vriska was always trying to get you in trouble, with your older sister that is.

"I'm going to John's." You lied, you gave your usual smile in hopes Vriska would believe you, she clearly didn't but decided to bother you nonetheless. Her gaze fell to your violin case and you followed it, once you noticed what she was staring at you smile sheepishly.

"Why would you take your violin over to John's? Don't tell me your planning on serenading him!" Vriska started to laugh and your eye twitched in annoyance as you saw the time the clock showed, you mentally cursed.

Damn it! You just knew that if you came in late your spot would be taken and you-
Your eyes widened when you heard footsteps and soon enough your older sister Aranea came in, her hair a mess too, indicating she had also woken up. Probably because of Vriska, you gave Aranea a quick sheepishly smile before running to the door in an attempt to open it you dropped the key and with a sigh you bent down to pick it up as quick as possible.

"_______, where are you going?" You heard your sister ask and you simply nodded, not actually paying attention to your sister. Once you fumbled with the door key's and managed to open it you swung the door opened -almost managing to hit yourself with it- and sprinted out of the house.

"_______! Wait!" You heard Aranea call after you but you were long gone and out of the house to even go back. It wasn't that you didn't like to hang out with both your sisters, heck! If you could you would spend the rest of your life living with them. You just were in too much of a hurry for various reasons and those beings more important than having Aranea tell you that if you wanted money all you had to do was ask your mother, Marquise. But that was totally out of the question, your mother preferred Vriska and there was no way she would give you money for something the woman might find stupid.

Once you were far away from your house and the surroundings around you had become familiar, you had reduced from running to jogging and then to walking, trying to catch your breath and hoping nothing bad had happened to your already-tuned violin.
You shivered a little when you began to acknowledge that the temperature had dropped and you were now cursing your idiotic choice of clothing today, there was no doubt that you would catch a cold.

"It's nothing to worry about ________. All you have to do is play, get the money and go buy the tickets... Y-yeah" You muttered to yourself, damn, it was cold. How was it possible? You didn't know, since well... It was the middle of the freaking summer!
Okay, no questioning Mother Nature here, but seriously, she could've at least told you yesterday.

Finally, your blue eyes settled on the park you have come to know as the palm of your hand. Skaia Park.
A smile found it's way to your lips as you reached the black gates that were the entrance or exit of the park. Everywhere you could see many people like you, teens or adults, showing off their talents to people that passed by in an attempt to gather some money.

You began to walk, greeting everyone that greeted you and didn't. Finally your eyes settled on your spot, the one you had come to claim a little over two months ago. You sat your violin case down and stretched a little. People were already starting to gather around waiting for you to commence playing, you liked the attention. A lot, a little bit too much if you asked me. But you also found it quite annoying how you also had some sort of fanclub.

To be honest, you couldn't even remember when was the day you had decided to come and play at the park... The memory was vague, but you could recall that your favorite band was coming to town in a couple of months, and you and Vriska had come to walk around the park that day, seeing the many people trying to earn money. Vriska had joked about how you could never gather enough money to buy the tickets. So that began, and you were so close to buying the tickets! You only needed to play at the park once more and hopefully people would be generous enough to leave more money today.

Finally after having enough of stretching around, and plus the fact that the air was even colder right now, you decided it was time to play. You went to get your (f/c) Violin and grabbed the matching color bow, you had already put rossin on the bow and there was no need for tuning the instrument for you did that everyday or every time it was needed, before going to bed.

You took the basic position and began to play the hardest piece you knew, your fingers moving along each string and place to make the sound you wanted to come out. You knew this piece by heart and so you closed your eyes, the clapping from the small crowd you had gathered had slowly began to fade as you focused on the music. Once you were done you smiled as you watched the people deposit the money on the empty case.

Your smile widened when you saw your favorite guy, his hands were shoved in his pockets, his pale skin with freckles dusted a light pink, his eyes you couldn't see, such a shame too, from what you heard he has beautiful eyes, they were behind the barrier of blue and red, that being his glasses. When you caught him staring his face became a deep scarlet color and you couldn't help but giggled.

This was Sollux Captor, he was one of your first donators when you had come to play at the park, and mind you, you tend to befriend everyone you met. If it were for personal use or because you took a liking to them, really depended. But Sollux had gained a special place in your heart, and dare you say it. You had developed a crush on this stranger. Was he crushing on you? You weren't quite sure, but you'd be dammed if he wasn't.

You were too focused on your thoughts when you didn't notice the crowd slowly leaving, and Sollux putting something in your case. He closed it and picked it up. He touched your shoulder and blinked, snapping you out of your thoughts.

You were confused for a second before you saw he was handing you your case, you smiled at him and told him to follow you to a nearby bench. He did and you sat the case down, you opened it and placed the violin along the bow inside. You closed it and turned to say something to Sollux but he interrupted.

"I don't want to burth your bubble, but if I were you I would go and buy thotheth ticketh, they aren't going to lath long" He said with a small smile and your eyes widened.
"Oh my gosh! Dude! I'll see you later then!" You ran off to buy the tickets, you heard Sollux call after you but you needed those tickets.

You sighed as you exited the place where the tickets would be sold, they had sold out. And not only that, but it had gotten incredibly cold over the past hour, the skies were covered in gray clouds and there was no doubt that it was gonna rain.

And to add to your misfortune, you had left your violin case along with all of the money you had made today, at the park. So with a gloom aura surrounding you, you decided to go back home and just ask your mother for money.

You sighed and looked straight ahead, hoping that by the time you got home it wouldn't be raining. What will you tell your mom about your violin? Could you have been really careless to just leave it like that at the park? You groaned and slapped your face mentally.

You bumped into someone and you realized you must've spaced out again, you looked up to apologize to the person you had just bumped into when your eyes widened and you noticed it was Sollux.

Your gaze traveled to the side and you noticed he had a cup of coffee on his hand and in the other he gripped a violin case which looked quite familiar to your's. You then looked to your side and noticed the two of you were in front of a cafe. You bit your lip and Sollux frowned.

"Let'th go inthide" He suggested and you followed after him, he opened the door for you (how? you have no idea) and as soon as the two of you entered it started raining. You sighed.

You followed Sollux to a booth near the window and sat down on one of the seats, Sollux sat across you. He sat his cup of coffee down and then proceeded to pass you the violin case, which you took and a sense of relief washed over you as you noticed it was your violin case. You muttered a small thank you and proceeded to blush from embarrassment. Sollux chuckled.

"What'th wrong ______?" He asked and took a sip from his coffee, your eyes widened when you noticed the aroma reached your nose, it smelled like honey and you could only guess he had added way too much honey into his coffee. You watched him and he watched you, you didn't feel like telling him your problems. But the rain outside told you that you wouldn't be leaving any time soon. Maybe engaging in small talk would help time fly faster?

"I went to buy the tickets but they're sold out" You sighed and continued "Not only that but I thought I had left my violin case in the park all alone and thank goodness you have it!"

You eyed the coffee he had in hand before pointing at him accusingly. "You didn't use my money to buy that coffee right?"

Sollux raised an eyebrow before chuckling. "Nope, why would I do that?" He asked and you sighed.

"Sorry....maaaaaaaan ~ I seriously wanted to go see (Insert favorite band) live!" You hunched and stuck out your lip, your eyes trailed to the side and you watched the rain fall, not long after Sollux was doing the same.

How long the two of you were like that? You didn't know, but you did know that Sollux had stood up and said he would be leaving, due to his roommate Karkat- If that's what you heard- would get pissed at him for staying out so long. You only nodded and waved goodbye.
Before he left though, he had told you to check your violin case. And so, twenty minutes later, after you getting bored of waiting for the rain to stop, you were finally going to see what he wanted.

You placed the violin case on the table and opened it, you raised an eyebrow as you saw the money, your violin, rossin and the bow, nothing out of the ordinary. You scanned around a little bit more until you found an envelop. You took it and closed the case.
Opening it the first thing you noticed was that it was a ticket to the concert, and not only that, but it was a VIP ticket and the envelop also contained backstage passes. Your eyes widened and you had to contain yourself from fangirling in the place.

In fact, screw it all! You were about to let out the most loudest fangirl scream in history if a small note hadn't fallen from the envelop and landed on the table, you raised an eyebrow at it and picked it up, resting the other stuff on the table you opened the small note -it was folded- and began to read.
