It's finally finished! I'm so happy and so nerves to announce that my wed site now is up and running! With it, I will be producing an original web comic called Death Match! And yeah, drawing all this probably took me a few months (working on and off).
Because I've never made a comic before this, everything is all so new, and all so scary. It's not easy to put your ideas out there, and my perfectionism and anxiety often get the better of me. But it's great artists like you who encourage me to keep going. When I see your beautiful comic it reminds me how much I want to do the same thing. That I want my art and story telling to be as rich and engaging as yours. So thank you so much for everything. Honestly I'm dumbstruck. Your support means so much!

I can relate to you very well! This is my first comic as well, and it's been a huge learning curve for me, especially the storytelling part. For the longest time I hesitated to begin this comic because I knew it wouldn't be perfect, but the only way to improve a craft is to do it. My mind is more at peace when I think of my work as a stepping stone towards bigger and better things. So if you ever feel doubt, just remind yourself that you're only human and that you are doing the best you can do for now. And that you will improve with time! That's how I am able to push myself along. Nobody can fault you for something you put your heart into.Β
I am impressed by the website you'd made specially for your comic (I have to mention again) I'd also made one for my comic but I didn't have the bravery to publish it, and now it's out of date ; u ; I hope to make another one at some point though, it's nice to have an HQ for a project such as this.Β
Sorry again for my rant! You've struck a chord with me! This perfectionism, anxiety and fear- these are things I must deal with as well. It's comforting to know I'm not alone!Β

Yeah, I'v been wanting to talk to other comic artists for some time, but haven't known where to find them. I mean, I read several webcomics, and could have tried talking to the creatures, but I never feel like I know what to say. It's just so nice of you to talk to me, and say such nice things about my work, especially because I'v admired you as an artist for a long time.
The funny thing is that stories have always come naturally to me. Sense I was little I'v had tuns of ideas for worlds and characters, and because of that character design was the only kind of art I did for the longest time. As a result, I'm best at simple, head on, full body sketches of a character. But of cores at's not even the beginning of what it takes to make a comic. I think the backgrounds/environments have been the biggest luring curve for me so far. I'm hardly happy with the ones I'v been making, but I have to keep reminding myself that it will get better with time, same as any art. Those are some very true words of yours though, thinking of it that way dose make me feel a bit better. It's so easy to be to hard on yourself when it comes to the things you care about.
Thanks so much! To be honest I still think the site could use some work (but that might just be my perfectionism talking again. It can be hard to tell sometimes!). If you still want a website I think you should go for it! I personally would love to see a site for Thicker than Blood. I think it certainly deserves it! And for someone who says they have struggled with story telling I think you'v done an incredible job!
When it came time to post this, and start telling people about the website, I was terrified! So much so in fact, that I had to wait util the next day to work up the guts to do it. I had to blast my work music and not let my self stop. So I totally get what you mean when you say it was to scary to publish. But trust me if you can just get over that anticipation, you wont regret it.

When I first started my comic, I sought the advice of other experienced comic artists as well, they were lovely to respond to me with advice.
Through your words I can sense the passion you must have for your characters and stories, I hope you never lose that drive

Thank you so much! I'm really glad we could talk as well! You are so nice and helpful! I hope that the two of us can continue to learn and grow throughout our journeys in making comics. It's not easy, but it is fun. I can't wait until people start caring about what I'm making. I know it doesn't seem like much, but when it comes to the point were people start recognizing my characters and calling them by name, I'm going to be so happy! (And of cores fan art in the ULTIMATE goal.)
I'm going to fight as hard as I can for these stories of mine. It's all I'v ever wanted to do with my life, so thank you Sensei! XD
And I hope we can keep in touch, I'm really excited to see where both our stories go!
