I've been meaning to comment on this one for the past three years.
I didn't think it was possible to give Douglas Bild a serious redesign, but you managed to do it.

Thanks, man. I'm not sure how my mental filter works with these pics. The goal is to work with what's already there, try to make it as solid as possible and hopefully do so without making it boring. Cranking up the realism can easily kill off most of the charm or individualism of a stylized design, so I try to avoid going that far.

This must be a goo version of bison...
Or one of his good well fit bodies that he uses to remain eternal!

Thanks! I always feel better when another Rushing Beat fan likes these pics.
Kazan is next but it will be a while before I can get to drawing him.

For anyone that doesn't know about it, you have to go inside the building of the first stage and beat up all the bad guys in the first section then go back outside and walk all the way to the beginning of the stage. Bild is standing there and looks more like a thin version of his Rushing Beat 1 self.
The Japanese subtitle for the game is something like "City of Clones" so maybe those are actually clones. I'll probably never get around to drawing them but I'll be making sprites of the evil versions. I hope you take a shot at drawing them and another at Rastan!

Pardon me but, get the "Bleep" outta here!
I have never seen "Douglas Bild" aka "Slash" fanart before!
I still got the SNES version of this game (and Rival Turf)!
AWESOME!

It's rare to see Rushing Beat fan art but I've seen a few others draw it. It's always good to see it!

Bild has been one of my favorite characters out of the Rushing Beat series. His appearance in Rushing Beat Ran is the best in my opinion.
Two thumbs up for this one. Maybe 3 if I had and extra hand.

I'll always be crazy about this series. It's a group of games that seems to have more fans that people realize until you bring up the names. I drew Wendy a few years ago and thought about doing a pic with her, R.Mika and Black Widow from Ring of Destruction.

Makes me ponder if Jaleco would be daring enough to make an HD Rushing Beat title for Live/PSN/WiiWare.
I'm sure Arc System Works is more than willing to lend a hand given their history on Pizza Pop and all.

I doubt they'd do an HD remake but I'd be happy with an old-resolution Rushing Beat revival with well-done sprites and the return of that Jaleco electric piano sound and some people who actually translate the game instead of replacing text with generic nonsense or leaving entire scenes out for no apparent reason.

Oh snaps!
Yeah, some good should come of the videogame industry if Konami's Rebirth titles and Mega Man 9/10/Dark Void Zero should be indicative of any message to send the industry.

I'm hoping those games send a message too. I don't have any systems that could play them but I hope they do well enough for other companies to get the hint.

My brain read it as if Don LaFontaine, the guy who used to do nearly all the movie trailer voice overs, was saying it during a preview of a live-action Douglas Bild movie that ends with Bild outrunning an explosion.

Jaleco USA didn't translate any of the backstory for nearly anything in the Rushing Beat series but info from the Japanese version mentions that he's a police officer. What Sega did to BK3/SoR3 is nothing compared to the weird things Jaleco USA did with the Rushing Beat games.
