I finally finished my last picture for Folktale Week! This is for the prompt 'animal', and I wanted to draw one that I hadn't really drawn before, so I painted Odette from Swan Lake. Her dress is based on one of the tutus I saw her character wearing.It may have taken me far too long, but I was pleased with how it turned out.

YOur scanner seems to be an anoying piece sometimes too, I actually like the photo better, although it has less brightness, but your coloring looks more realistic and less textured, your scanner brings out all these unnessesary textures, I have this happen too. But I really love this piece, the colors, the pose the gentle feel, and the overall theme and execution, well done dear!

It was fun to paint something a bit different from my other pictures. I don't think I've actually ever painted a swan before.
I'm not sure why the scan is a bit wierd, as it's usually okay with this paper. I might try and re-scan it and see if that helps.
