The detail in his name's "pronounciation" (that's not the most fitting word, I know) about extending throat feathers opens up a whole new world of brilliant. This ought to be a fully illustrated "alternative natural history" (or anthropology) book.

Yeah - as previously said, I've been very inspired by corvid communication and intelligence for this- perhaps dominant members of a tribe might have elements of their ancestral dominance display assimilated as cues in more complex communication.

Awesome design! I love his costume. It makes him a unique character, rather than just another dinosaur who we are told is intelligent. I like his name, too!
I haven't had much of a chance to look through your gallery and read the descriptions of these pieces, but your dinosauroid world seems very interesting.
