Description EDIT: As some may have noticed, one of Gossipiboma's major flaws was the presence of "megadeltas", or rivers splitting into two or more major courses several miles before they reach the ocean, creating large "inland islands" surrounded by rivers.
In addition, with the new patterns of tectonic plates and patterns of continental drift I've come up with for the planet, new islands have been created. Both these changes are visible here, but since the original version is gone, you don't have anything to compare it to and probably won't notice it anyway.

This is the planet that I have been working on for the past year or so. It serves two main functions. #1: to satisfy my hunger for concept art, odd yet scientifically in-depth animals, and #2: to design an experimental world in which regular, albeit alien animals coexist with very real supernatural forces.

If you look at the scale, you'll see that Gossipiboma is about the same size as Earth, which makes the three main continents HUGE. The Filpitch Basin alone is a rainforest the size of North America. Because of the large area of habitat, the flora and fauna on the planet have a staggering array of diversity.

This map was created entirely by hand, with some help from an atlas for lines of latitude and longitude.

If you have questions about places or their inhabitants, feel free to ask.

This looks really good. I'm crap at drawing maps, I really need to sit down and work something out like you have here.

Thank You! I copied the basic design of the lines of latitude and longitude from a school atlas I had at the time, with some minor calculations on my part.

One thing that I regret now is concentrating all the landmasses in the northern hemisphere (North is "up" on this map), a very earth-like arrangement that is only a random consequence of continental drift.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, north is a cartological convention really. It doesn't look very earthy otherwise.

I have a tendency to discover every single mistake in my designs!

That's not something I've really considered, but I'll think about it.

r there zombies in ayone of the continents? and how about the bugs there, r there any and if they r how big do they get?

1. No, there aren't any zombies occurring naturally, but there are areas where they can be naturally created [link]

2. As on Earth, insects and other arthropods form a major part of all ecosystems on the planet. [link]

3. I don't know, it depends on the environment!

J.R.R. Tolkien is a great example of the world's most successful world-builders. He's one of my primary source of inspiration and he took years to create his very own perfect universe.

Well, good things do take time.......

Where is the Filpitch Basin? I can't find it.

The Filpitch Basin is the large area of rainforest in northern Quellaka, in the eastern hemisphere, the one that looks like S. America. Ya can't miss it.

Ah, this is neat! I can't work out world maps well at all, so for my project I used a pre-existing world. (Europa)
I see ice caps, is this world coming out of an ice age (like ours) or entering one?

I haven't really worked out the details with paleoclimatology, but I have created some fossil forms, and judging by their morphology and visible adaptations, I'd say that Gossipiboma is entering an ice age. The process has been happening slowly for a while, and some of the unguloherps and other animals have already been evolving heavy coats of bristly scales for trapping heat.
